I enjoyed the movement and visuals however there's no clear objective. I feel with polish this can become a great game!

Developer

Thanks

Once you think about the grappling as “swinging” the movement makes a lot of sense and is fun. The grapple bar thing (the blue bar) could definitely be adjusted as if you’re not near an enemy to hit it’s hard to adjust your direction. The way the grapple rope/line reacts to corners is also unpredictable and can lead to some weird movement. This is great though, if there was some more polish and a objective this could be even better.

Developer

Thanks, I do agree that the stamina bar is a bit under used and should probably be removed as it removes more then it adds

The controls were a little rough at first but there’s a lotta potential for fun movement tech here, like chaining dashes and grapples to maintain momentum and quickly changing directions. Screen shake was implemented nicely, satisfying to hit enemies, audio/music were serviceable and fitting. The stamina got in the way more than anything, and it might’ve been cooler to only be able to grapple against physical objects (enemies, walls). I just wish there was more to it!

Thanks, that's some amazing feedback, and I 100% agree that there is a lot of opportunities for movement tech

It kinda felt like dash and grapple are completely separate, as in there isn't way to combine and maneuver the map. Honestly dash alone might've been enough. Hitting enemies with fast paced movement was so satisfying.

Developer

Yeah, the grapple was a bit underdeveloped compared to the dash. But thanks for the feedback

While the "use mouse to control grapple" was understandable it did not feel fun to use.

The dash was really fun to use though!

The stamina felt... unused? Like I see tons of things adding to it, but nothing actually consuming it?

Overall really fun game

Developer

Thanks, the stamina is:
 - Increased based on speed, heigh speed => fast regen, vice versa
 - Consumed when grappling
 - Consumed when dashing

I maybe didn't make it that noticeable though.

I like how the grapple bends when hitting a corner

Developer

Thanks!

The grapple is really unpredictable but the dashes are good. I onl yhad problem with the grapple tho, everything else was really well made

Developer(+1)

Thanks for playing! I should have worked more on the grapple but I'm happy you liked the dash!

That was a lot of fun to play! I felt like spooderman!

Thanks!

A really great little game with a movement system I love. However, the dash is way too overpowered and makes the grapple almost useless. Very cool game anyway!

Developer(+1)

Yeah, I agree. I tried to balance it by making it take more stamina and do less damage but that just made it under powered and felt bad to use

Game feel is very nice, and movement is sooo goooood

Developer

Thanks! I spent a lot of time on the movement so Im happy you like it

I LOVE GRAPPLING
this is like hit game Spiderman but if it was good

Developer

Thanks soo much! Its really just a dampend spring on the radial direction of the velocity around the grapple point

Great, really smooth mechanics, hate to get stuck bouncing back and forth between two spinning blocks!

Nicee, feels satisfying to play

Developer

Thanks, I'll try your game now
