How is your game related to the Theme and Special Object?
It's capitalist because you have to lay out the store to get the most money (similar to how real world places do it!) and carrots are very important in the game.

What tools and 3rd party assets did you use?
Godot, audacity, Ableton for the music. git counts?

How did you use generative AI? (If you did)
No AI here!

This is a lovely game! The mechanics are interesting with having to work around the pathfinding, and the puzzles are a fun challenge to solve without being frustratingly difficult.

I found the 'Shelves' UI a little confusing, as in later levels it was overlapping with the 'Open Shop' button and flickering between the 2. Moving the Quota & Open Shop UI up would help make the two clearer. Having some sort of feedback audio (e.g for placing shelves) would've been helpful.

The artwork was charming and the music gives chill vibes, reminds me of "A Little to the Left". I was not expecting 10 whole levels! (could be more? this was as far as I got haha) - This game has potential to be developed upon!

Developer

haha, that 10th level really is the last one indeed, it’s also the hardest by far.

The ui was supposed  to be placeholder, I just couldn’t get around to improving it. I agree it’s an outstanding issue.

Would have loved adding sound effects, it would have been very meaningful, we ran out of time though unfortunately.

We’re so happy to see so many people thinking this silly idea can turn into a full game!

very nice, the puzzles definitely made me think!

i really love the pathfinding, it's super fun seeing what paths they'll try to take. the third level is the one where it really feels satisfying, where you can see the rabbits merging seamlessly when you successfully clear it.

this is a fun game and the system is very nice, it is held back a little bit by a few quality of life things though.

the ui is a bit all over the place, and buttons/text are pretty massive. when i'm trying to grab boxes, it feels rather strange to have to hover over the bottom bar. i'd much prefer to have it in an toggleable easy-to-reach spot if i'm going to be using these boxes as part of the main gameplay. i do like that none of the ui inhibits gameplay at all, so good job on that!

when the rabbits end up stuck, i think giving the player some feedback that "this isn't gonna work" would be good. currently, it'll just keep increasing steps infinitely. perhaps it could check the next 5 steps, and if the rabbits don't change position, you could give a retry screen for them.

i'd also like some "feedback" to tell me when i've won or i've lost. sure, i can tell i've won or lost, but if I get a victory fanfare? i'd definitely feel like a winner!

i'd totally love to see a fully polished game! good work!

Developer

we had considered a deadlock ui. Fun fact, with the game as it is now, we have deduced that in any step that no bunnies move can actually be immediately classified as a deadlock, so no need to wait!

We didn’t go ahead with it because through playtesting with various people we found it was pretty obvious for most that a deadlock was not a solution. Playtesting did a lot, we had many outstanding issues that we saw through playtesting.

Sound effects were planned! We had to submit an hour early, and just ran out of time. I agree it would have added a lot.

Thanks a lot for the compliment that this silly idea can turn into a real fully featured game!

i love puzzle games! this was a really neat entry and (though i was a bit pressed on time so couldn't complete the bonus stage) each puzzle was pretty fun to figure out! using optimal store layouts to satisfy the theme and mixing it in with pathfinding to was super creative and each crate's function was well explained. there were some small bugs, sometimes the lettuce crate count was actually the grocery crate count, and the grocery crate count was counting the available carrot crates instead. i think the game could also benefit from more varied audio, having just the BGM play constantly does end up getting a bit jarring after a while. having different BGM tracks would help a lot, as well as potentially having drag / drop sounds for placing crates or sounds for when bunnies collect carrots / groceries / head for lettuce / etc to help with the responsiveness of the game. overall though, a super cool game and i'd love to see this concept developed upon!

Developer

The UI was really rushed through, indeed. It was our first time doing pathfinding, and the shelves ui proved a bigger challenge than we thought. That was supposed to be placeholder ui. If I had another pass at it I would ditch the wood aesthetic and keep it simpler.

BGM was actually a prerecorded melody that my jam mate had prepared and didn’t use for months - we felt it fit well. we were going to add sound effects but submitting an hour before because of an event we had to stop for limited our ability on that.

Yes that bonus level is the last level! And it’s really difficult. We think the solution is really elegant :) it makes sense you didn’t have time to solve it, we didn’t expect anyone to solve it really.

Appreciate the detailed write up! Glad you had fun with it.

I really fell in love with this game, honestly, I would gladly play the full version of such puzzles

Truly means the world. TYSM!

Awesome game, really enjoyed it. On the last level spend 30sh minutes with my gf so hour combined :3 :#
Would really liked the reward or "You win" screen after the last level. Thanks!
Check out our game as well <3

Developer

YOU BEAT THE LAST LEVEL!!!

We actually weren't expecting anyone to beat the last level! Yeah we didnt have time for any reward screen, but I ASSURE you that we both are very impressed and flattered that you gave it so much time :3
Thanks a lot and I'm going to play your game now!

Very fun and interesting idea. The lead in is just a bit rough, I couldnt tell what I was supposed to do for a bit. But I stuck with it for a fair amount of time. Unfortunately I was too much of a scrub to figure out the last level.

Developer

Thank you for the play! We know the difficulty curve was pretty rough.

The last level is a really elegant solution in our opinion. I already dropped a few hints in this thread, but here’s another for you:  note the bunnies can only check out from the left side of the register.

I would wish it has linux build as well, I can't run it

Developer(+1)

Hey! I added a linux and a web browser version. Would appreciate if you could give it another go!

Developer

Hate to be a bother, but did you find the time to give it a try?

Submitted(+1)

Yes, sorry for the delay. I actually like this type of game. It reminds me of the "human resource machine" game.
The only problem I had was with the interface; some text overlays buttons, etc. It is a bit confusing.
But overall, very cool concept and nice puzzle game experience

Developer(+1)

yeah the UI was an issue, we didn’t have time to fix it or maybe we prioritized some stuff wrong.

Thanks for the play!

Hi, I tried the download but it's just a Windows version :(

Did you try the web export feature in Godot? For our team it worked great out of the box, I can send you some screenshots from the project's settings if you'd like to give it a shot

PS: Good luck in the jam and if you have time please rate our game!

Developer(+1)

Hello! I already rated yours haha
I just added the html integration! thanks for the feedback, would love to see you try it!

Submitted(+1)

Hi! thanks for adding more versions! I am stuck at the beginning, after i place a carrot nothing happens and I don't see a way to span the rabbits (maybe it's a web version bug, tested on Firefox and Safari from MacOs 26):

Developer

I think I replied to the wrong thing? See the other response, this is intended, the bunnies need to get to the carrot and then to the register and that crate blocks the path.

Developer(+1)

This is intended. The bunnies want to get to the carrot and then to the register in the end. are you sure that carrot crate isn’t blocking their path?

Submitted(+1)

oooh got it! by the phrasing in the game page, it sounded like only bunnies would block each other, thanks for taking the time to explain, it's so addictive! i'm in level 9 already and came back to reply because i'm stuck only :P

Developer

Awesome, glad to hear you liked it!

Me likey! It made me use my brain! I didn't get really far, though. I got stuck on a level lol.  From what I did play, I had fun.

Developer(+1)

Hey! I added a web browser version, would appreciate it if you would give it a go!

Submitted(+1)

Took me a couple of minutes to get used to it, but then loved it! Couldn't beat the extra level #10, i might give it a try later! Really good entry! You might want to allow playing the game on fullscreen, feel like the UI could you that real state.

Developer(+1)

Wow thanks for the expansive play!

I tried fullscreen but it didn’t scale well.

The last level is a really elegant solution (we think)Note that it’s the same level as the previous one but with five instead of six. A small hint is that this level isn’t possible with six bunnies.

Another hint is that the solution involves a loop, similar to level 3 ;)

Submitted

Gotcha, thanks for the hint!  Will try, i did assume a loop was involved, just couldn't figure out how to make it properly hahaha
