I'm annoyed I didn't give this game a chance sooner this is brilliant!

This is a great little puzzle game!  The idea is really clever, and I like the trade-off between spinning things up and also having to run over to release the food.  The art style is simple but charming.  The dialogue is funny.  The music is good but gets a little repetitive after a while.

For me (unless I'm missing something), some of the levels kind of ended up being guess-and-check about how quickly to spin things up before rushing over to see how it went.  I think there's a lot of potential here for more levels where you have multiple wheels with platforms and you need to connect and spin them all in the right way, i.e., more stop-and-think puzzles about how and when and where to stick the wheels and when to spin.

Love the idea, and this was fun.  I'll admit that I didn't get through all the levels because it's quite hard, but I think this is a really fun game.  Great work!

Thank you for the feedback!

Nice puzzle game. Puzzle is a bit hard for me but i enjoy it. Congrats on your first game jam

Developer

Thank you for playing! Yeah I definitely made it too hard at parts

After building a puzzle game about hamsters myself I thought I was qualified to beat this game but nope I love the hampsta with the sunglasses and the dialougue and I managed to get to level 3 but sadly I'm incapable of getting farther I'm just confused lol. Nice job :D

Developer

Thank you for playing! yeah I definitely made it a bit too hard / I need to have more clear instructions I think

Really enjoyed this game! I felt like some scientists lab test to see if hamsters have any intelligence xD

Developer

lol maybe I should have made it a lab rat instead

Really fun idea, I like the puzzle complexity of having to sometimes force the rotation of other platforms, would be cool to explore that more in design. There is some difficulties in legibility of the puzzle like green gears with green bouncy platforms but this is still incredible for a first submission.

Developer

ooh, thank you for the feedback on the colors
I think at one point I made a note to change that but never did, oops

congrats on your first ever game jam! this is very good! I think I might be a bit too stupid to finish this game, but it breathes a very nice atmosphere, I'm so happy I came across it. I loved the writing very very much!

Developer

Thank you! The writing was fun to do, and its not just you, I definitely made it too hard oops

Really charming and cute atmosphere, I love the music! The game is really hard but might be just me honestly. Great submission for your first time game jam

Developer

Thanks for the feedback! Yeah I realized I may have made it too difficult oops

Really cute and fun game! I found the difficulty just challenging enough to want to keep trying but not too difficult that I felt like giving up.  Really great for your first game. I prefer your pixel art over the professionally polished kind, I think it added more personality. I just wish the game made better use of the full frame rather than being up in the top left corner.

Developer

Thank you for the feedback! That's a good idea, yeah if I had more time I would have moved the starting and ending positions in different places

I really liked this game, but I could not quite finish it (I got stuck on level 3, I think I got the solution, but I just can't get it to spin fast enough) I like hamsters and they look so silly and cute, I also like the dialouge and the idea is very creative.  Just a tip for scaling up buttons in godot: don't scale up the button with the scale tool instead use the handles in the normal select tool and then change the font size in theme overrides (This will prevent the buttons from looking that pixellated) (unless that was a stylistc choice), also maybe you could edit the theme of the itch page (just go to edit theme on the page) and maybe don't use the comments as a description, there is a description part when you upload the game, which you should use instead (you can still edit it even after uploading and if somebody else comments, your commented instructions might get pushed down) (the itch page had no influence on my rating though)

Thank you for the feedback! Oh that is good to know about the scaling. It was my first time using itch so I didn't really know what I was doing haha

(spoilers for level 3)

you have to spin everything really fast BEFORE placing the last wheel with the bouncy platform. This will make it so that the wheel has top spin right away

Good for the first time.

I was a bit stuck at the 3rd level and then just gave up.

All in all good but could have added some button textures rather than Godot's default background.

Theme and mechanics were good though.

Thanks for the feedback! It seems i made level 3 a little too hard
