Really great twist on Poker! Would be nice if there was a way to hover over your upgrades to remind yourself of what you have in your current build. If you wanted to continue with this idea, I'd recommend honing in on a new look that lets you pivot away from Balatro's. Very satisfying seeing the scores be tallied on both ends of the cards!
I really liked this concept! This was such a cool game and it scratched the Balatro addiction itch that I've been suppressing for a while now. I'm really interested to see how far you can take this concept. It has a lot of scout vibes (not sure if you've played that card game) - and I had a really good time playing it. Minor comments - but agree with some of the other comments that it should be more apparent how score is calculated. Also balancing the upgrades would be good too - I couldn't afford anything until 4 rounds in and then immediately lost it because it wasn't apparent that breaking the card was permanent (I got the flip 2 for 3.5x). Great work!
Such a fun game, The CRT effect i think its a bit much, wish it was more suttle, but the game feels amazing, the audio visual feedback is satisfying, the gameplay is fun.
I would change the UI, if possible, to something more pleasant to look at, a bit more style to it.
Wish the tutorial was interactive, I took a while to "get it", but once the game starts you can grasp it pretty quick.
The Upgrades did not make much sense to me, took too long to get the progress bar to fill and the upgrades where mediocre, so i kind of just picked one at random.
Feels like this could go into a game with some meta progression and much more!
Overall cool concept and I think there's a lot of potential of fun especial for poker players. I wish that the upgrades could synergize better or maybe I could buy two of the same upgrade for boosted effect. The audio is super immersive and satisfying. The visuals are a great use of shaders and appeal techniques that really drew us into the game world.
Its a really nice game, just 2 nitpicks. You should display somewhere how core from a hand is caculated(it seems to be card value+ hand bonus but hand bonus isnt visible anywhere). Also it feels kinda weird when I play a two pair for example and a 5th card it also gets the two pair bonus but thats maybe just me. I wanted to talk a bit about balance but idk how you wanted to balance so I could be completely wrong.
Good luck with everything and I hope you continue development.
Juicy! I really enjoyed the tactile feeling of this game; each action gave such rich feedback. It took me some time to realize that the combinations are counted on BOTH sides of the cards, and when I did, it blew my mind. Very cool concept and masterful execution!
My only negative is that the balance felt a bit too loose for my liking. In 10+ levels, I never felt like I was losing or applying all my best to making the most efficient moves, since it wasn't required.
Thanks for playing so far in the game! Yea i kinda forgot/ran out of time for balancing, but i'm glad you enjoyed!

i’m addicted. you just made poker balatro. oh my god. I can’t believe it. this should be a fully expanded game for real. This is so good. i didn’t even notice you could flip the cards. that’s on me. it looked the same on both sides but then I saw the number on bottom was different n I was like, “EH?” and everything made sense. That’s a cool spin idea. Get this on STEAM immediately oh my god. good game.
Thank you! I'm glad you like it! :D
So much fun, Got all of the odd one multipliers. Poker is the best, we host a poker night every other week lol. Very creative use of the theme and love all of the visuals and audio. Incredibly solid work
Thanks for playing! :)
Balatro with a twist! I really liked how you have to think way more to make good hands!
I also like the jokers that break if you don't use them, it makes runs more unique.
The entire game feels very polished. Some tiny feedback notes:
- Cards that you hover on should always be in front (otherwise it can be hard to see what they are)
- In the shop cards that you can't buy could be greyed out so you don't have to look for the price
- Maybe the same two cards shouldn't be able to appear in the shop.
- Left Hand Joker shows the highest modifier it had, not the current one?
- After rerolling the same card I just bought showed up again and it's not clickable
- I bought the shop empty but can still reroll (and then no cards appear)
Thank you for the feedback!
Nailed the Balatro aesthetic in all dimensions 👌🤡
Thanks :)
genuinely might be better than balatro. only thing i would say maybe the upgrades are too expensive but overall incredible game
Thanks! Yea i had a hard time with the balancing but thanks for playing!

Not sure if my comment got through so I'll say it here. I really love this! I'm not usually a big fan of card games, but this one is really fun, simple and very satisfying to play. Keep up the good work!
Apreaciate It!
This was really fun, I've yet to play Balatro but I do like Poker so I found this quite enjoyable. A simple premise done very well, and it's got tonnes of juice and polish.
I would have liked to have had some ability to hover over my upgrades on the right so that I could double check what they each did. I found myself sometimes forgetting and destroying a fragile upgrade. Aside from that I've got very little constructive to say.
Thank you.
Thanks! Yea i was going to add that but the i just forgot. Thank you for playing tho!
damn when I realiesd the cards on the buttom score as well i got blown away
awsome game
Thank You! :D
very unique spin on the theme. good job
Thanks!
I couldn't figure out how to play a hand. Wasn't sure how many cards to select. I tried 3 8's but it wouldn't let me play that. So I figure there was some other combination I needed
A poker hand is 5 cards but i can understand the confusion :)
Ah gotcha, playing it again now. I feel dumb lol
Very unique, very polished, very good visual style, very serious. I like it. This is a great entry. I didn't realize you were supposed to score hands on both sides before checking the comments, but that doesn't matter. This is still a masterpiece. Great job!
Thank Yuo!
This has a great visual style to it, and I really enjoyed trying to find the optimal hand to score both sides. Quite a tricky puzzle.
I think there's currently a bug, all the upgrades were returning this instead of the upgrades shown in the screenshots. If you end up fixing the bug let me know. I'd be very keen to try the version with upgrades.
I'm so glad you said something :) I have updated the game now, and fixed the bug!
The fix looks good. Played for a bit more, its delightful! I'd really consider expanding this game post jam.
If you do a post jam version, adding a little copy of the flip-side number somewhere on the top half of each card would be helpful for scanning through your hand a bit faster.
