This was a lot of fun. Very polished and great consistent visual style! My only complaint is the limitations brought by such a simple concept, but I could easily see it getting expanded and more complex with more enemies, environmental obstacles etc. It plays very well.

It remembers me Clu Clu Land. This is an old game that I was played a lot when I was I child.

Nice game

I enjoyed the concept and the visuals but wish there was a bit more features to the game. Of course time is limited so it already really cool as it is! (I'm just bad at the game)

Developer

Thank you very much! The controls are hard at the beginning (the problem is I played it for many hours so balancing speed etc. was hard - probably standard problem for jam games). I already have some features in mind for a post jam update, but I guess a part of the appeal of the game is the simplicity.

Wish I wasn't bombarded with text at the start, it would've been nicer to have things taught a bit more organically, but this was cool! Having a bit more fine-tune controls would've been nice, plus some audio indicators for how the virus thingies worked. Would be interested in how this concept would expand.

Developer

Sorry for that, I noticed on the streams where my game was played that most people read the description on the itch gamepage - so most of the ingame text is redundand I guess. I will work on this game after the jam finished. Some guys, I think Bantol (https://bantol.itch.io/) and his cohost suggested on their twitch stream to bring it to mobile. This is a very good idea I think (never brought a android game to the play store - good test project I guess) So if you are really interessted I would be honored if you follow the process. Thanks you very much for taking the time to test the game.

It's a very interesting idea.

Have to say the thing  nanobot  looks like a needle though. Would think it feels more like sewing or surgery rather than the geeky cells theme.

Beyond that I think I could do without the eight bit music.

Developer

You are right, I really didn't notice that - lol. All of the art certainly could be improved. I am not a native speaker and probably the whole theme could be better described/named. I hope you had some fun, thank you for taking the time and test it!

Ha! Loved this. Sure, the controls could feel a little more fluid, and I would've enjoyed more content, but this is a solid game and concept. Reminds me a lot of those Nitrome games if you ever played them.

Developer

I haven't played Nitrome. I intentionally kept the game very short out of respect for everyone's time—perhaps that was the wrong decision. Thank you for your feedback!

fun idea for the controls, good game!

Developer

Thank you!

nice game! the controls are hard at first, but i got the hang of it. maybe some more elements (like a countdown, end scene) would make it better.

Developer

Thank you!
Yes, there’s definitely still room for improvement... A proper end screen is a good suggestion—with stats like playtime, number of viruses destroyed, etc. Did you manage to beat the last level? I think I made it too hard.

Submitted(+1)

Very creative! Game felt fun and intuitive to play great work!

Developer

Thank you! Did you beat the last level?

This was super fun and creative! The mechanic was really satisfying, and I haven't played anything like it!

Developer

Thank you! Did you use the ability to spin in different directions? I found myself spinning the same way around all the time.

Submitted

I went the same way at the beginning then I caught myself switching every time lol! Loved it, felt really good to get a feel for it.

I think the concept is fun and creative. I found myself not blinking while playing the game.

Developer

Oh nice, thank you! I guess you beat the last level? Did you miss a feature?

Really cool, I loved the concept of it and the art is so minimalist. 10/10 would play again.

Developer

Great! I’ll keep working on it. Do you have any suggestions for improvement? It was even suggested that I adjust it for mobile devices.

Cool game, I like the minimalist art style and the concept

Developer

Thank you!

The gameplay is actually addicting I wanted more hehe. other aspects also immaculate but visual wise it could use some more. But overall wonderful game gamer.

Yes, I know that the player feedback and graphics aren't quite polished yet. I had planned more, but wasn't able to implement it. Do you have any specific ideas? (I was thinking of screen shake, a death animation for the spore, etc.)

Submitted

Hmm probably one where you can force the direction change? so you can specifically target the spores, mostly a skill issue but they do tend to get pretty frustrating when they spawn really close and you're on the other side of the map.

Developer(+1)

Ah ok, I already noted some ideas for better balancing of the spores/virus. Thank you!

Please note there is a bug - when you lost you get stuck if you don't return to the main menu (ESC)

Developer

I found the bug and was able to fix it, so now it should be fine. please let me know if you find other bugs.
