How could you... Trapping poor hamsters in unsafe, horribly kept mechanical environments with EXPOSED machinery at every corner?? What EVIL human being would subject poor HAMSTERS to such torture?? Then ontop of that, expect them to do your busy work or them, repairing YOUR faulty and DANGEROUS machinery? It dosent even stop at that, at some points in this factory it feels as if it was MADE to torture these poor hamsters, I mean you dont ACCIDENTALLY have amazing visuals, creative puzzles, adorable sounds for nothing in your dirty filthy factories now DO you?? And dont even get me started on the SPIKES that you decided were necessary to fit in the same environment as small, adorable, amazing, polished and snappy to play as hamsters with predictable movement and unique and cool squash and stretch! What do you even have in those boxes that you let the HAMSTERS move for you, UNPAID BTW!! I'm not just disappointed, I'm MORTIFIED T THE QUALITY OF THIS HAMSTER TORTE EXPERIMENT!! (P.s, amazing game)
Ughh one of you.. animal rights activists you make me sick. This Hamster is a paid employee (cough just not very much). thank you for the kind words
This game is creative, enjoyable, and slowly explains it's mechanics to the player. Definitely will score really high on this gamejam, I like it!
Another hamster game heck yea! The puzzles are really good. The difficulty curve is really good and I don't feel overwhelmed. The art is absolutely beautiful. Don't stop making game!
this game is awesome bro! I have to finish all the levels yet, so i added it to my "replay" list! The art is amazing, the sound is amazing, it's a great game!!
Cute animal games lets go!
Lovely visuals, both the art and juice. Bigly good squeaking, and the music did not get annoying. The mechanic was smart and there was a good difficulty curve until the last level which made my brain hurt. It might not have been the actual last level, but it was my last level because hamster brain got me softlocked quite far in. I'll come back for it later.
Excellent entry!
A very good puzzle platformer. Visuals and sounds are really pleasing. Idk if I should call the puzzles or the game design itself crafty: puzzles themselves were too easy in my opinion (except for the last one, more on that later) because when having really limited options at the beginning of the level, what you had to do could become very obvious. Could be called good game design too (for example as soon as I was introduced to the teleports I could intuit they would conserve Y velocity). What I really didn't like was the camera, especially at the last level. Artificially increased the difficuly. Would have been better to make it freely movable to explore the level and plan things out without committing the hamster: is this game challenging our logical thinking or our visual memory? Plus it messed with the green teleporter which had to be used a lot for high jumps to complete the last level, thanks to the fact that it did not follow the player at all times to see where it lands. But those are mostly just nitpicks and aside from that you did a great job.
Very clever puzzle game! Love how you twisted "roll to win" theme
Actually an awesome puzzle platformer. The sound design for the hamster was on point - the level designs were really well done, and the art style was exceptionally polished. With more music tracks to go with this, it'd be an absolute banger of a game. The concept was executed really perfectly here.
The first few levels start off simple - teaching you mechanics - and solving them feels really good. One physics-related bug nearly ended up game run, but I managed to overcome it and continue on - my best guess is it was something to do with a race condition between spikes and teleport pipes.
Then I got to the last level.
My eyes witnessed levels of extreme bullshit I had never seen or even fathomed before. Unholy combinations of gears and cogs and platforms and pulleys. I didn't even know where to start, I just went to the bottom of the multi-floor level and started from there.
Putting that puzzle together, room by room, felt like an insurmountable challenge, but it was so well crafted that when it clicked, I suddenly knew what I was doing. I solved it first try, after considering it impossible to do.
This was a really, really well put together puzzle game with some awesome visuals and really effective design choices. The implicit tutorials teaching you certain game mechanics on the way up build to a perfect final level - my only critiques are polish related.
I don't know if it was just me, but I couldn't find an ingame pause menu - and there was no way to really tell what level you were actively on if you hadn't kept count yourself. The level complete menu also didn't say what level you'd just finished - and going in was equally blind. Maybe some kind of label that appears when a level starts could fit, or work?
Either way, that's a really nitpicky thing - because the rest of the experience is really well polished, and very fun. I liked this - this made me have to think, which is always risky given how wrinkle-free my lump of meat I call a brain is.
The art for this game was really cohesive! I liked the shader outline around the hamster a lot. Using the gear as a hamster ball was a fun spin on the idea as well. Controlling the hamster felt a bit limiting, but I understand the intention of the puzzle design.
loooooooool the hamster squeaking is so cute and funny!
Oh, Waffi, I've seen you before, that's right, ScoreJam 37, Pelotazo! I've participated in that one too, my entry was S.O.C.C.E.R. Beautiful art, even better than before.
I enjoyed playing this game a lot, probably more than any other hamster game, very juicy, polished and level design is superb. 10/10
Yo :D. I’ve been getting recognized more recently and it makes me so happy. I think I did end up playing your game but I can’t remember what it was about. I’ll have to check it out along with your other game for this jam
Just a super solid game overall, super juicy and feels great to play, really creative puzzles and super on theme!
What a fantastic game! one juicy hamster. Great onboarding ( my personal weakness ) , absolutely banger music, and lovely art with clever puzzles, no notes. Just praise.
Awesome puzzles, cute art style and banger music.
I enjoyed the puzzle style. Reminded me of NES style games.
i loved the cute sounds and the art design + animations are very well done, the mechanics are very easy to understand, and it was so much fun to play! Congrats!
Fellow hamstur game!
Really cool gimic and oh my god the juice in the art is incredible (squash and stretch)
I couldnt finish it becuse of a bug in a level where i got softlocked and when i reseted i was stuck constantly moving forward no matter what i did (also the music reseted each time you reset a level [put the music on a "dont destroy on load object so it stays between scenes"])
Overall I really enjoyed it!!
TY FOR THE MUSIC TIP
Very good puzzle design except for 15, I did beat it but there are several ways to softlock yourself and not many ways to see them coming ahead of time. Some earlier levels had multiple solutions, not sure if they were all intended but it was fun to discover them.
Nearly full marks from me!
Game feels nice, mechanics are perfectly tutorialized, the little squishies are so cute! I wish there were more levels!
Amazing! Game is super polished, art is great, the sound design is on point, and the fact that the puzzles dont need a single line of text to explain their mechanics, just chef's kiss. Wish I had some kind of feedback to give but I think the game is perfect, add mobile controls and it would do numbers on mobile!
