A bit frustrating, but considering the Leaping monarch that no doubt inspired this game it's pretty true to the source material. It's honestly impressive what you were able to accomplish in such a short amount of time and you better believe I stuck with it until I got t6 the summit.

that's a pretty serious quest. the principale mechanic were a little bit unintuitive but after, i' ve got the very original sens of that. good work dude. congratulation

the polish in this game is unbelievable! i could not progress far in the city. wow i am really bad at this jump mechanic but it was really lovely overall. if u ever make a um slightly more approachable version i'd love to play again

Really cool rage platformer like Jump King, but damn is it hard!!

Submitted(+2)

This reminds me of that old mobile game with the green alien thing with the paper backdrop. I liked it. :)

Really creative game mechanic, a lot of fun and yeah it definitely reminded my of getting over it, you guys nailed the atmosphere. Great Job!

It feels like a very addicting rage game that I would start to spend hours on! There were a few times where  the line itself didn't make a jump like I expected, but I may have been doing it wrong.

Very cool game!

If feels really polished and complete for a Jam game, I actually feel like it could already be a full fledged game buyable on Steam or on mobile.

But even though it is a very high quality game, I just can't have fun with the jump mechanic. Rage games are clearly not my forte, but I feel like other rage games didn't frustrate me nearly as much as this one.

At first it was because I couldn't undertand the correlation between the angle and length of my line and the direction and speed the character got propelled at. At times it really felt like a shorter line actually gave more strength which confused me even more, but I think that was because of the angle.

After I understood that the direction was perpendicular to the line drawn I could actually start playing, but even then the game being really hard made me quit pretty fast after reaching The Cranes.

Anyway, excellent work! Since it's clearly a me issue I didn't apply my negative feelings to the rating because I don't want the game to have a lower rank than it deserves.

Really fun concept for a game. It almost feels like it could be a mobile game. Quite difficult though, but that seems to be the intention. Unfortunately, I couldn't get very far past the city area. It seems some of the platforms are out of reach, but I'm probably doing something wrong since others seem able to beat it. No matter how far I stretch the line, I can't reach some of the platforms. I like the detail of the NPC at the bottom having different dialogue if you fall back down.

Overall, nice job on the submission!

Developer(+1)

Hey, thanks for playing. Yeah, the game gets really hard pretty quickly. We actually already made a dev run. Maybe you can spot what I’m doing differently to reach the platforms and finish a run yourself.

Submitted(+2)

hey, really cool idea to control character in this way, to be honest first few platforms were there really boss for me))
Great game! Inviting you to play and rate my game<3

Beautiful and hard, too hard for me. I think that the wiggle would be maybe better bound to a button?

Developer (1 edit) (+1)

Thanks for playing and the feedback! What made the mouse wiggle feel harder for you? We thought it felt pretty natural and spinny to control that way.

Submitted(+2)

My main concern is that I don't know if I wiggle enough and when the propeller starts slowing the falling down. It's the feedback. On a keypress I would assume that when it is pressed, the propeller is helping me. It could be just me, no worries :)

Souls-like platformer? Very cool I really enjoyed the controls are very solid and nice.

Developer(+1)

Thanks for playing - glad you enjoyed it :)

Submitted(+2)

The controls and movement are really well executed, while it's quite challenging to progress it never felt unfair, it always felt like the perfect jump was within reach. Looks and sounds amazing too, well done :)

Submitted(+2)

It felt very polished, but I couldn't get past some of the first jumps haha!

Developer

Thanks for playing! The game is pretty hard, so don't beat yourself up about not making it far :)

If you still want to see how it looks higher up, we just made a dev run video. You might even spot some tricks to help you finish it yourself. :)

Really love the mechanic and art but it is too hard at the start,it should be easier!

Developer (2 edits) (+1)

Thanks for playing!

Yup, I’ve got to admit it starts out pretty hard already. That said, it’s meant to be a rage game, so failing further down is better than higher up - but we probably should have made the early segments a bit easier.

Really cute art love it

Thanks for playing - glad you liked it!

I love the pixel art, and the game is giving me Celeste vibes! I tried for quite some time, but I couldn't get any further than the top half of the buildings. I am definitely coming back to this though, since I really want to beat it!
Definitely my favorite platformer so far :D

Edit:
Made it! Took me way too long, probably like 2 hours or so, also didn't expect that ending lol

Developer(+1)

Thanks for playing! I guess we were both influenced by Celeste in some way ;)

Developer(+1)

Congrats! You're definitely one of the first to finish the game :)

Submitted(+2)

Beautiful visuals and music, it made for a chill experience learning and playing the game. I will say I don't have access to a mouse at the moment so floating was really difficult, but the game was still fun and the mechanics are creative and well executed!

Developer(+1)

Thank you for playing! Yeah, without a mouse playing the game is much more difficult - glad you still had a good time though :)
