This is awesome! Very interesting concept! I loved the art

very cool! tho there was alot of sound bugs and also why does she change colors

Developer

Thanks for playing the game. The color changing is a corruption mechanic that wasn't fully implemented due to lack of time. There was supposed to be related story, visuals, and mechanics but we ran out of time.

I loved the art style! combining a retro looking isometric angle with the hand drawn comic book characters makes for a unique looking game! This was such a brilliant take on the theme and I hope you continue working on it...

Combining the Rubik's Cube rotation theme is just brilliant! The character design has a bit of a 'Crayon Shin-chan' vibe, and some of the combat interactions are really well done!

The visuals are so good! Its like a cartoon where you can control your character, the music is nice as well.

I like the cube spin mechanic and the animations are really smooth as well!

Really good!

Love the rubix cube slam and it leans itself to a lot of fun game design ideas!

Woah! The gimmick with the cube and the slamming is sooo creative! It took me a bit to figure out, but it has so much potential!!

The combat was a tad confusing, simply because it was pretty hard to tell what I was hitting and what was hitting me. I also couldn't quite figure out what exactly I was meant to do on the upgrade screen, if anything.
But overall, this seems really strong, and with a bit more polish and maybe a tutorial, this concept can really shine!

I think I might be addicted. I was having so much fun that the game's FPS dropped to single-digits due to how many objects were on screen at once (I got to 3552 points before I managed to stop myself). You've done a great job at making an extremely enjoyable game. Spinning a rubiks cube to change the layout of the level is a fantastic idea that works both thematically for the jam and is just really fun to execute in-game. I didn't find the slot machine mechanic to be very consequential since duplicate upgrades don't do anything and the spooky-faced square removes one of your upgrades, making the slot machine more of an "upgrade-shuffling" mechanic, if that makes sense. Aside from some clunkiness regarding combat (The player's attack range is a bit difficult to understand, at times it seems either much longer or much shorter than one might expect, the latter more common when attacking downwards or upwards), this was overall a lovely submission to the jam. Great Work!

VERY cool game gosh love the rubicks cube dynamic, didnt read the lore but impressive its there- I wouldve just been happy with the lil rubicks sword fighty prototype but it also has upgrades and a fully implemented rly cool loop!

It does feel a bit slow to use your main attack at times is my main complaint and its Hard to keep your bearings on how the cube is oriented, but very very impressive and cool game overall!

Really creative way to play a combat game and approach the theme. The part where you can slam to spin the giant Rubik’s cube is very cool. Solid work there!

Super cool concept! :D

With a bit more polishing a can see this game as a nice game on steam.

It wasn't so easy to hit the enemies, and the hit feedback could be a bit.. more ;)

sfx were pretty good imo and the rotation of the segments felt nice and powerfull.

Good job on that game, and it could be worth it to keep working on it after the jam :)

Very good game idea, with good execution. I watched Shrikegames play it on stream/youtube too and I gotta say it feels smooth and I'd love to see this become a full game

Interesting entry, rotating the cube mechanic is definitely something I've never seen before.

The biggest issue with this game is that it doesn't explain important mechanics, like the said cube rotation or the fact that you hit all the enemies who are on the same tile as you.

Overral the game is nice.

Keep up the good work!

Loved the rubix cube combo to this, made it very interesting!

I think it’s a really exhilarating battle game! The attack hitboxes are very wide, making it easy to take down monsters, and I found the ability to alter the terrain using Slam to be a novel feature!
