I was expecting a chicken farming game but the curve ball of it being a chicken doing the farming? Genius.

This is a really interesting combination of genres; I never expected to see a shooter and a farming sim merged together!  I only played through a handful of waves, but I had fun doing so.

The art style is amazing, lots of charm!

On the sound design front, the sound for picking up the coins is satisfying.  I would have liked for some more-intense music during combat.

In liked that there was a satisfying amount of money; it felt like there was always something to buy.  But I felt like when harvesting, the coins launched too far, such that walking around to pick them all up was kind of a chore.

Spinning unfortunately ends up not being the winning strategy here because of the need for aim, such that clicking and wiggling back and forth in a tiny arc is the reliable way to hit things.  I think the game would be much more fun without the spin mechanic.  Once I got the hang of aiming, combat was a breeze; definitely out of scope for a week-long jam, but some more enemy variety would be nice as well.

I think there's something really cool with this mix of genres; for me, though, I would have liked to see them interact with each other in some way (maybe enemies come and eat your crops if you haven't harvested them, or maybe there are other ways).  Right now it felt like two separate games stuck together, and I feel like it would be really awesome for them to play off of each other more.

All-in-all, this was a cool game and I had fun with it.  I'm really intrigued by the genre mix, and the art is so cute!  Great work.

Hey, I heard through discord that you're my karma rival -- enjoy some extra karma comments for your cool game!

Very satisfying, well made and great game! My only complaints are that spinning felt like an unneccessary barrier rather than a fun aspect of it, and the ground was a bit basic, some textures would be great.

Very cool game! Love the vibes!

Love the visuals! The gameloop is fun enough. I do have a problem and it's the fact that I think the jam theme doesn't add much to the game, it could've worked arguably better without it, actually.

Adore the 3D models of your game! They're so so cute. Unsure how I feel about the spin to attack. It made aiming more difficult than I think it should be. I wonder if making projectiles bigger would help. That way there was a bit more of a spread to the player attack area.

Your logo with the spinning chicken farmer is also quite charming!

I hope you will continue working on this after the jam, because I need the full version. Give me any day a silly, farming roguelike game and I will be happy. The spinning mechanic while attacking does need a little bit of rework but it works overall. Great job!

Very interesting entry! Reminded a LOT about Atomicrops. The art is very nice and the audio is just nice!
However, I did not enjoy the spinning mechanic. If I had a little more granular control over how I was able to shoot it probably would have been nicer but as it stands if I hold down click I just instantly shoot out all of my potatoes, and trying to hit a target while also achieving the spin in order to even allow me to shoot in the first place is more annoying than fun to me. I think I'd have enjoyed it more if spinning was a toggle and I could turn on and off when I am spinning, so that I spin at a constant rate, and for the spud cannon to have some kind of internal cooldown between shots so I don't accidentally unload my entire round into one enemy. Lastly, you can delete your own seeds if by mistake you plant two plants on the same spot; one will be planted and the other dissapears.

Wow! This looks so awesome and entering the shop felt especially nice for me :) also i love the splash art with the spinning head :D
for the chill gameplay part, I LOVED the spinning mechanic for planting and harvesting etc,  however fighting the frogs with it just gave me the feeling of too few control as to what I can hit or not, in the end i tried to trigger it just by "turning 45 degrees" then resetting to "0 degrees" and turning my mouse "45 degrees" again just so i could aim a bit properly (effectively, I wasnt spinning anymore either :D to get some control over combat)

Charming, goofy and very polished visuals. A fantastic jam entry I am sure will do well.

I know I should be used to this in this jam by now but I wish the fact that the fact that you have to spin to use the tools was mentioned in the controls and not the description further down. I thought it was a really neat take to have to plant crops and harvest them.

Took me awkwardly long to realize lol

Nice visuals! I liked the UI and clean layout! The gameplay loop is also great, though honestly it didn't hit me initially to spin myself to do anything lol.

Great work!

Something about this game was super addicting.  It had a great mix of nice visuals, and very gameplay. Took me a minute to figure out how to properly play, but once I learned the game loop I was locked in. I'll definitely be returning to play this one again soon!

Cool game! Very fun.

At first I thought I was growing potatoes to use as ammo for the spud cannon, but picked up on the intended loop after reading through your description.

The look and feel are perfect for this jam. Spin focused mechanics, although I did manage to cheese the spud cannon by just sort of shaking the mouse, firing in a cone instead of a circle, which I found more effective.

I've did it! Very fun game!  Had a looot of fun! Just one think - the shooting mechanic was bit hard to execute but all in all great job guys!

Fun game, is there an ending or is it no ending wave ? i was at wave 6 and i think i was full upgrade. The game work well, it was fun. It is a bit tidious to grab all the coin once i got lots of crops. It is funny to try to aim at those little frog while spinning around.

Wave 10 is the end of the game! I probably should've said that somewhere in the game or description. Thanks for playing!

I thought it will be only farming, but there is this unexpected combat waves. The idea of spin to use the tools is a bit frustating, specially with the potato canon. But then I learnt that I didn't have to spin, just shaking a little bit the mouse, I was able to aim with no problem, but it is something that is the opposite of what you want the player has to do... Maybe the potato cannon could auto aim to the nearest enemy or do some area attack, something like the vacuum cleaner

I thought the plants were gonna help attack the frogs too but oh well, nice game either way.
