Why are they all bullying a turtle :(  but why was that very fun...

It was fun. :-)

Vampire survivor gameplay is addicting and you have executed it quite well. I like how you feel the slowness off the turtle and how you can enjoy the few seconds of power when you are spining.

The assets are beautiful (hats off if you made them during the jam!) and very nicely animated! It is a pitty that the arena itself is entirely empty.

Good job!

I like how a round could simply change depending on the upgrades that appear! I really enjoyed it :) At some point the player can get super OP

Really nice-looking art, I wish the main game was more zoomed-in so I could see more of it better. The audio wasn’t bad, maybe a little imbalanced. Seems like a solid base game that could use a little juicing; I wish doing damage felt a little punchier, the movement was a little slow for me, and I think making it easier to pick up the XP I earn would have helped a fair amount.

The art is amazing and I didn't run into any bugs! The variety and quality of the enemies was astonishing, given the time frame. As the others has said, I didn't feel the upgrades.

Developer

The upgrades are there, probably just require a bit more of a buff. Thanks for playing :)

Nicely made game, although very hard (or the upgrades were not strong enough). for me the only way to survive for kindof long was to get faster movement upgrades, as the stamina was depleting very fast. as others have already said, the map needs some decorations. It's addicting, but these kind of games always are for me :)

Yeah, getting the balance right with within a week is always a little challenging. Thanks for the feedback.

I like the pixel art graphic but I feel the map is too big and empty, maybe put rock or tree will make the map more live. for gameplay is good and there’s upgrade mechanic, overall it’s fun… I enjoy playing the game! 😄🔥

I like it, I think it should scale a bit quicker but I had good fun and the turtle is a very cute player character!

Nice spin on the VS category! The UI was great and visuals fits the theme nicely. I like the various enemy and projectile types, giving it more depth.

This is a nice entry!
Love the art and the polish on the UI and menus, very nice touch.

I felt like it started off a bit slow, but you are playing as a turtle after all and the upgrades solve this nicely.

visuals are pure art, gameplay is interesting too, but sometimes skeletons just spawn or it's somthing else, not sure

Developer(+1)

The spawn radius bleeds onto the level from outside the play area. I noticed the glitch in testing but didn't think it was too bad :)

Submitted

it isn't much of a problem, but sometimes just spawn at you while you are surrounded

Vampire survivors but with spinning-attacks.. very nicely done, you get my attention :D nice upgrades, good feel, would love if i had some sort of more velocity while spinning and if it werde a "while pressing key" instead of pressing to turn it off/on but those are small personal preferences, great work!

Love the character art!

SO nice!! played this for a while and kept improving every run, it felt just hard enough while still staying fun :) the spin is super satisfying!

+ the art and animations are really good!

The game really hits the nail on the head with its theme. Great idea with the turtle and a fun execution. And the art is the cherry on top.

In case you’d like some feedback:

  • The first enemy type should die instantly when you spin through it. That would really give the player a strong sense of how powerful the spin is. I felt like I had to stay on top of it for a bit.
  • At the beginning, you can definitely throw more levels at the player. Unfortunately, it felt like it dragged on a bit.

A small bug I noticed: when I die and want to play another round, the sharks’ hooks remain in the next run. I got hit immediately ^^.

Really great work, keep it up.

Developer

Thanks for the feedback. There should be nothing remaining when a new round starts as there is a new scene being created, so nothing should persist, but I'll check it out anyway.

I really liked this game, and the attack mechanic was definitely a great addition. It was really fun! The only issue I noticed was that after choosing an upgrade between levels, you don't have enough time to move before the enemies can attack, so they can kill you immediately. Other than that, this was a really fun game.

The very serious music with the slow turtle was funny.  I thought this was pretty fun, managed to kill 163 enemies.  The visuals are really nice too. The whole thing sorta gives me that feeling of playing a pc game in the early 2000's.

Developer

You mean "very serious music"  (^_^)

woops typo, I corrected it

Really cool art-style, and the gameplay is a nice little twist on the Vampire Survivors formula.  I had fun with this one!

The turtle spin mechanic is so cool and satisfying when hitting these enemies! Really nice game I liked it :)

The art in this looks so gooooooood!

Please make this downloadable, i'd like to play more of it

Thanks, I will upload a Windows downloadable version after the voting has finished

Great!

Also i played the game a little more and noticed the upgrade for increased movement had very very little effect... that and the healing,

I feel one of those should compensate for the other, if the turtle moves faster then the health's priority should be lower, or damage should increase when speed is lower then that makes for a more chaotic build since the turtle has to get up close and personal. That would help a lot when the orcs and beefier enemies start coming in.

Just my opinion.
