Really fun concept, kind of incremental but also requires a lot of moving parts so youre never sitting around waiting! its really annoying that you can lose instantly by buying an upgrade that sets you to 0 power, which also makes you lose the game, a warning or something would be nice. Otherwise I had a lot of fun polluting the world!
Very serious concept and plot! The game did feel a bit easy because of the hamsters regaining their stamina pretty quickly, thus never needing to replenish their health due to never being forced to push a hamster that far to keep energy output high enough, especially once you start upgrading them. I still did enjoy playing it though and also liked the voice acting!
P.S. I noticed while playing that the 'Skip Tutorial' text in the menu overlaps with the start game button and the hamster wheels and cages get offset when you go fullscreen, though this might not be the case for everyone due to different screen resolutions.
This was short and sweet and great!! I beat the game and also LOVED your voice over tutorial. Simple and ... honestly great game. I have a special place in my heart for the hand drawn game! Thank you for sharing :)
At first i wasnt sure was going on but one minute later i was LOCKED IN into hamster business, upgrading, changing and mutating them hamsters. great game!
This is a really serious and fun game! The concept is really nice and I appreciate there being a voiced tutorial as I likely wouldn't be willing to read through a lot of text. I also really like the hamsters' sound effects for when you pick them up. The game does get a bit hard to understand at times, with some upgrades not providing clear benefits right away. However, this is still a great game and a unique take on the theme!
Liked the game a lot, I lost on my first round but manage to finish it on the second.
good game overall
This was a really fun and charming management game. The hamster power plant idea is hilarious, and the mad scientist voice acting gave it a ton of personality. I liked juggling the hamsters between wheels, watching their stats, and trying to keep everything running without letting them die. The hamster animations were cute too, and the voiced tutorial was way better than just a wall of text.
My main feedback is that some quality-of-life features would help a lot, like being able to unequip or swap hamsters more easily. It would also be nice if you couldn’t buy upgrades that instantly put you at 0 energy and lose. The tutorial could maybe use captions or a slightly faster pace too. Overall though, this was addictive, funny, and a really solid jam entry. Great work!
lol, funny voice acting :D
I've seen some other hamster incremental games in this jam. This was a bit short, but the most unique of them. I liked the Dr. Doofenshmirtz reference if that was it :D
Liked the mad scientist, appreciate that there are not 14 paragraphs of text.
Liked a lot the game, I lost on my first round but manage to finish it on the second.
Great.
Very good game! The visuals are good , especially the hamsters :), the gameplay is addicting, and a good creative concept that fits the theme nicely. Well done
Hello! The gene modifier upgrades the experimental tank. Its an oversight issue but if you don't have that first it won't look like it does anything but once you get the experimental tank it allows you to pick what stat to upgrade instead of just randomly upgrading one.. We probably should have made it so it wouldn't show up until after you bought the experimental tank.
I had fun shuffling the hamsters around, upgrading them. Would be neat to see it go longer or have levels with higher goals. Great submission!
