The voice acting was good and really sold the writing :3 I did have kind of a hard time understanding the hitbox of the other honses though, maybe I was hitting too early ? I didn't really get how damage was calculated. Very epic game though, waiting for Honse 4 !

Developer(+1)

The damage is simply: if you are close enough to the other sprite you can hit them.

I've seen some other people say they had issues with the timing so I'm gonna tweak it a little bit after the jam ends to make it a lil easier

Impeccable game! The voice acting was very serious. With these types of games I always like to take the time to fully customize the settings to my liking before I begin and I'd recommend others do the same.

The honse series returns with another banger entry. The story? chef's kiss. the characters? Spectacular. The gameplay? The best there ever was. This game is the pinnacle of serious spinning storytelling.

But in all seriousness this is a very funny project that deeply reminds of me of the post ironic memes and slop that were so prevalent throughout the 2010s and onwards. The art is shitty but in a deliberately shitty way so that it the player can extrapolate how silly the entire game is to their experience and thus make it more fun to play. I overall really enjoyed this game and the world it built up, even if the unskipable cutscenes made it a longer experience to play at times LOL. Great stuff, honse forever

So good! I love Honse. This reminds me 100 percent of something that would have found in the early 2000s internet.

Peak cinema.

But also: Please add subtitles. I had a hard time hearing some of the dialogue.

This really looks like a lost Shakespeare tragedy.

This is so serious, it hurts ! (In all the best ways possible)

Probably the most serious game in the whole jam. I know you joked about unskippable cutscenes but they should definitely be skippable. It took me a while to figure out the timings on when to swing to consistently hit my opponents, but the game was enjoyable once I got there. When is Honse! 4?

This is some good goofiness. The audio kept doing weird things for me and I couldn't even tell if it was part of the experience or not. This is the sign of good game dev.

Jokes aside, cutscenes were a bit long for a jam game, in my opinion. The gameplay is simple, but works for what it is. I actually kind of like it as a little timing mini game surrounded by story.

Having not playing the first two Honse! games, I feel unqualified to say much else. Forcing you to type Honse! is a great gag; almost has a sort of meta feel that is up my alley. Good work.

Honsed, good audio and storytelling! Gameplay uh.... pretty simple, nice. though mostly in it for the story i guess, very cinema in that department

Sit down Hamlet we got a new classic betrayal story in town

I'm quitting game dev. I'm leaving this game jam. Because the best game EVER has already been made and its HONSE 3.

The dialogues, the voice acting, the jokes, it was all amazing. I wish honses were real tho...

Very peak and exciting.

Once you get the timing down it’s pretty nice.

Subtitles would be nice!!

Foiled by the name entry screen. Bit tough for my liking, but plenty to recommend it.

my favorite part was when I went to type "The Jonkler" as my name and instead the power of honse compelled me to type "Honse!" cinema
