The idea and setting is very well made, and the use of the old tv effect looks really nice (though it does make it hard to see clearly sometimes). It can be turned into a nice horror game by adding a little more spookiness and polish.

Thank you!

Not bad, the idea is there, could be more of a visual horror as well, but I see the vision. Good job!

Pretty cool game!, i like the concept!, wish the filter was a bit weaker though, i get thats the vibe your going for but the strong blur and abberation is disorienting, anyway great game!

Thank you!

Really cool mood in this one! The grimy black-and-white pixel art gives it a strong factory horror vibe, and the whole “boring sorting job going wrong” idea is pretty memorable. I liked how the gameplay makes you look closely and double-check things, especially with the hard death and different endings. The CRT/blur effect does make it a bit hard to read sometimes, but the atmosphere is really strong. Nice work!

Also, if you have time, I’d be really grateful if you could rate my Mini Jam game too: /jam/mini-jam-214-machines/rate/4750260

Developer

Thanks! And I'll definitely check out your game.

I think you nailed the atmosphere with the art style and simple gameplay. Well done!

It took me awhile to figure out what I was supposed to do and how to interact with things. The art style was a little bit too hard to understand, in my opinion. It was a very interesting idea though. Good job!

Great mood — the grimy black-and-white pixelation and the "boring sorting job goes horribly wrong" setup build genuine unease. The meat-grinder factory premise has real character. It leans on atmosphere over mechanics, so a stronger gameplay hook (and a tighter tie to "out of hand") would elevate it, but the vibe is memorable.

Really cool! Had a little trouble reading it, but nothing crazy, good work.

Developer

Thanks! I think next time I'll make another horror game, but with better quality and without the minor bugs :)

I liked the visual style, but I’d dial back the blur a bit—it makes it hard to read.

The idea of things spiraling out of control is great.

However, there is one question that I feel hasn't been fully fleshed out: why does the main character (the player) become obsessed with food and lose control?

Developer(+1)

Thanks! Because he hasn't eaten meat in a long time and is starving, he wants to eat more meat; however, having none available, he saws off one arm and then the other, eventually accidentally falling all the way down to the lowest sector, where the whole cycle repeats itself.

Got it, thanks for the explanation. All the best!

Wishing you fewer bugs and success in game dev, too! :D

I really liked the art style and the concept was good. I had a little trouble figuring out the controls and understanding what to do cuz the poster was way too "CRT"ed.

It is an interesting concept and a good game considering the time frame

Developer

Thank you and yes this plc is hard for me to see, but I'm too lazy to fix it.

The first part was like a "try to work without my glasses simulator" but actually kind of satisfying, had me double checking my work. I like that there's hard death, makes you have to look closely. I think you picked a really tight concept to build around to evoke a feeling within a really limited period of time.

You did a good job of implying a dystopian world that exists off the screen.

I slurped my coworker out of the meat hole, and I'd do it again :D Really good stuff!

My game has many endings. :)
