Stunning entry! The aesthetic is executed SO well, love the story elements. Really good planning too, eeping the scope limited and doing every part of it with really impressive polish. great work.

lol, I didn't notice you could jump, so I was sliding the whole game xD. Still beat it on the 3rd try. I thought laser attacks were unavoidable so you could only affect how many hits apart from the first one they deal...
Anyway, the art, atmoshpere and the single ending are super cool, they fit really well with the theme.
Though it did felt like gun shots weren't powerfull enough, but thats just a tiny thing.
This was a great entry. The art is beautiful, and it feels very polished. Brutal difficulty, but not in an unfair way, just in a satisfying boss battle way. Could easily be expanded to a longer game that ends with a battle like that.
The art has great style, except I'd often lose the dark character silhouette on the dark areas of the mech when trying to jump over bullets.
I never did beat the mech, but at least I can see the good ending on Youtube....... Oh.
This is great! The art is amazing and the movement is super cool!
Amazing work! Loved the visuals and sounds. Gameplay-wise, I would rather not have to hold a key to enable shooting.
Insanely beautiful post apocalyptic boss fight !
The art direction is incredible, i love the sense of scale you gave by making the player character this tiny silouette compared to the gigantic Mech you fight. I also really loved the grim atmosphere of the setting, you’ve nailed the vibe, especially with that tune i really like it, i don’t know if it was an inspiration but this instantly reminded me of the game over theme from the SNES version of Robocop vs Terminator [ https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=V0Iz843oZEI ] and of course the Giant Mechs reminded me of Hyper Light Drifter as well ^^
Gameplay wise, overal movement shooting and mouse aiming felt solid, but i’ve had a few issues though :
- I felt that the aiming feature where you hold down a keyboard key was a bit awkward, if you really want to keep the feature it would be way better to have it bound to the right mouse button since you shoot with the left one (especially considering how short the attack window is between patterns)
- The slide should give you some i-frames to help better dodge some patterns
Other than that i’ve had a great time playing this, good job :)
Thank you for your comment! I'm so glad you enjoyed! I definitely understand your issue points too. I will say though, for the sliding, I intended it to be timed pretty perfectly for the fist smash during half-health, but def not very good for dodging the eye laser.
The Robocop vs Terminator wasn't my inspiration, but after fully designing the boss (especially the neck) it definitely reminded me of the terminator (and Armin's colossal titan from AOT )!
Thanks again for your comment!
No problem, it’s a jam nobody can make a perfect game but you’ve acheived something very polished given the time.
Yeah now that you mention it i didn’t have AOT on the mind but they do look a bit like mechanical titans XD the terminator thing was more about the music and the atmosphere of your game and i really meant it as a compliment :)
Really cool visuals! Game feels really good to play. Reminds me a lot of hyper light drifter aesthetically, didn't manage to beat it though, but I'm quite bad at this type of game haha. The game feels super polished for a game jam and the actual itch page itself is laid out really nicely as well!
Insanely well made, hard to believe this was made on Scratch. Love the vibes!
