The concept of this game is valuable already since it encourages people like me to search Chipko Movement for the first time. Back to the game, separate the game into two phases is a great design, and as someone who experienced the frustration of merging two phases at the last minute, I would recommend merging them as soon as possible (if you already considered about this, just ignore this comment lol).

The real life inspiration is super interesting. And I do like the choice of making it a top down chasing game for the second phase. The first phase is also a pretty ambitious segment of the game, but I would be cautious to try to not end up making one segment overshadow the other. More research on the real life historic movement could also boost the game's quality and I could see a lot of concepts to play around with iteratively.

I like how its real-world based with the history of the Chipko movement. You can maybe give the player like a brief speed boost right after tying someone up and perfect the difficulty of the game? Its a super creative take on the prompt, cool game idea!

Sounds like a fun idea fighting tree cutters and escaping the police. I wonder how you are going to manage to do all this, especially with this small team.

I like that you use the real world event. The levels concept are well established. However I am a bit concerned with the scope since the game seems to have a lot of mechanics, but the jam duration is quite short. With only two members it can be a lot of work.

This is a great idea! I can't wait to see what you do with this. I would encourage you to try to include as much of the real history of the movement as possible -- I think that could make this game really special.
