Nice game. The little girl is very cute and the marshmallows too and the fights are interesting. I really like the idea to fight and roast marshmallows always with the same stick.
Thanks a ton!
I like this approach to base defense, the fireplace is great mechanic and have a lot of possibilities.
I enjoyed the game and fight mechanic
Congratulations on your submission!
Thank you very much
I made it to night 4. This is a fun game. I lost in night 3 and had to try again. I wonder if you are going to add pixel art for the first as well?
Man, to be honest, the art side of things is complicated. The enemy art (which I did myself) definitely isn't great, but unfortunately, I don't have the money or a partnership to get someone else to do it better. I hope this answers what you were saying—if not, please elaborate, because my reading comprehension has completely gone out the window
No, it's not you. I need to spell fire correctly. I was trying to ask, Are you going to add pixel art for the fire as well. I really liked the enemy art though.
In this case, setting fire to the baked goods? I don't think so; that's not in my plans
Fun little game, I managed to survive 6 night before getting overwhelm.
As other said, I would improve on the tutorial, making the player do action to learn the mechanics.
Maybe some food could have specific effects, slowing enemy upon attack, faster movement speed for a short time.
Well done so far.
Yes, yes, I'm going to follow his idea—and those effects already exist—but you have to roast the base marshmallow over the campfire to get them
An interesting little survival game. If you where going to extend it, maybe allow the player to build more structures that can defend your fire, or collect more resources to build said structures. The tutorial is fine for a jam build, but instead of a series of texts. It might be better to have a pop up, make the player do an action, then move to the next pop up. Cause players like me are lazy and will sometimes skim through important text otherwise.
Your idea is really good—like, *really* good. It’s exactly what I’m going to do; thanks a lot. Regarding building mechanics: I plan to add roguelike elements, but building is also being considered for a later stage
Loved the general vibe of the game!
If I was to improve something it would be the tutorial.
But the game was easy to understand and fun to play!
Looking forward to more updates!
Thank you—you have no idea how much this means to me; it really dispels the feeling that "no one is going to play." As for the tutorial, yes, the other comment offered a great suggestion. I just haven't put it into practice yet because it's the end of the university semester, but I'll be on break starting next week
I totally know what you mean! I have the same feelings when making a game. Let me know if you have any other questions about your game or so.
