Sad it wasn't finished, some enemies could have definitely spiced this up. Good work so far though, I like the aesthetic and general feel of it!

Though not finished I like how it looks and plays!

Is this like a recreation of a retro game?

Developer(+1)

in the current state it is in, pretty much…

Q-Bert! Great recreation, but I was immensely disappointed by the lack of sound for falling off the stage. would have been great to see this finished in time.

Hey, this is a pretty interesting interpretation of the theme imo. Honestly it's got a lot of potential if you just had more time lol.

Thanks! I love arcade games, and I honestly got this idea while playing MAME (retro arcade emulator) :D

I enjoyed the pokemon-like intro of the game, and think the movement scheme iscool and the "cubes are hexagons" is a interesting take on the hex theme. Sadge that you didnt have time to finish but I hope you get to it later!

Developer

I will! Thanks for the feedback!

The music at the start and character sprite almost felt like this game is about Pokemon lol. Sad its WIP, could have been so much more

Developer

i honestly picked the first character sprite on itch io free assets, and the music was actually composed on FamiTracker originally for a Nintendo NES game! RIP to the outcome though, it could’ve been better i very much agree

I played 3 levels in a row and they were all the same, controls took some time to learn but the polish is great (liked the raylib splash screen)

Developer(+1)

the cubes were supposed to be static the entire game, and colors are just randomized from a table… the actual differential was going to be enemies and different types, but i was out of town :( glad you liked the polish!
