Very interesting loading screen and title menu.

SFX and BGM is kinda unbalanced in terms of volume. Though it may be just on my end. SFX is too loud/BGM is too low for me. I think the ambience music is too low, since the game over music is way too high compared to it. Or maybe it's a bug that causes the game over music to be too high.

I really like the "not taking it seriously" vibe with the texts. I'm glad you also added the goal at the end of the tutorial. It's really not that obvious for me xD, I thought the goal was to survive as long as possible.

I also like the way the screen moves. It's a really nice detail.

Interestingly, even though you said to avoid clicking on the text at the button, for me it's more difficult to click on the edges of the button.

I'm not sure if I'm just unlucky, but I don't see any ways to increase my budget. I keep seeing bills and events that would decrease it instead. That's why I couldn't get really far.

I had fun with this!  My first run everything was going great until the markets collapsed, and then my second time through it was smooth sailing the whole way (got the space broom early, and then nothing really bad happened from there, I stayed at 100% with all countries the whole way through).

Graphically, the game looks great.  I love the CRT effect, and the graphics are simple but watching the debris orbit the earth was mesmerizing.  I also got a real kick out of the victory screen :)

The sound design was also great; the music was subtle but nice, and the sound effects were a good fit (though I might have liked volume sliders because the sound effects are quite a bit louder than the music).

Really nice work!  I'm not sure I quite understand all of the systems, but I had fun playing this and was glad I got to see both the victory and defeat conditions.  Nice work all around!

hahaha, the humor was great. the soft glow, chromatic abberation, and the visualization of earth was all coming together nicely. good experience!

i love the parallax effect and the effect of how debris appears. sounds are also great and kinda satisfying. however not much of a chain reaction, and it was hard to me to understand how my actions influence anything, would be great to see some like popups after i make a decision on how it affected market etc. Also didnt get at all what other countries are for, only 2 times i china and poland requested help, but idk what it even influences. Well and the lack of variety in events is really preventing this idea to shine

Great polish. I like these kinds of games, but I am not sure if anything I do affects the markets. Also the investments I did make, do they affect the amount of space debris? That wasn't super clear. I just kept losing money and having to refuse several requests to repair launchpads and that ended up killing the run.

Developer

the science investments make the markets and the people happy, and improve future buildings. a lot of things u do affect the markets (indirectly or directly) but something in the math doesnt add up and the markets go insane anyway (probably partially due to me not making any positive events idk why i didnt think to do that lmao). anyway, thanks for playing! <3

A very interesting concept with very funny text responses and end losing screen lol!

I might not be cut out for this job, in 10+ tries I think I either crashed the market or made everyone hate me instantly lol.

While I couldn't make it that far gameplay wise, I hope I experienced most of what the game had to offer. Which was actually pretty fun. While I think balancing is very needed it's actually still pretty fun  as is. The vibe is on point, visuals and audio are really good, the UI is just clean, however it did seem like not every button click registered but that was a small issue, watching the debris fly around the planet is just kinda satisfying. But what I liked most is the dialogue. The goofiness mixed with accidentally ruining humanities future and just seeing "slow news day" with "ughh" is just really funny.

Great work, I do wish I could of made it further but the fact that I even want to make it further proves it was a fun game already!

I *think* the buttons not working is bc unity makes text block the input, and by the time i realized this the jam was already basically over and it would've taken too long. The market crashing constantly for seemingly no reason is a bug i've been trying to fix for the whole jam but i couldn't figure out what was causing it (i think it's just bad luck being amplified more than good luck somehow). Thanks for playing! <3

Ah yes, unity's intuitive, go to debug mode to turn off "raycast target" on the text. Yeah, oh well, not a big issue anyways. Shame about the bug but as stated, was still a fun time, no problem. Oh yeah I forgot to mention this before, I believe when you get fired and restart the match the difficulty or market or whatever doesn't really reset. I had to reload the page to have stats like chaos and the debris go back to normal. Otherwise they were still high. Hopefully this can give some insight on a bug!

Developer(+1)

I've had that before where scenes dont get fully reset, absolutely no clue why that happens lol

I love the art style :D
I was a bit confused at the start, got a bit overwhelmed with all the text. I tried 3 times and didn't really get anywhere good, the markets almost instantly crashed each time.
The Audio is also a little loud, I had to turn down my system volume.

Very creative use of the theme. Loved telling the big countries what  they can and can't have. My great power fantasy.

Developer(+1)

they get sad tho 😢 think about the poor poor governments!

Very cool and surprisingly immersive with the gloomy music! I suppose it was supposed to feel a bit hopeless? Anyways, I got my ass kicked via public opinion. My favourite moment was watching the moon zoom past, far away from the crashing market (again!).

yeah the people in this timeline are a little bipolar lol, thanks for playing! <3
