Super unique and fun game!
I really love this take on the theme! The controls were a little odd at first but you get used to them quick. The levels were nicely designed as well! The sfx and visual effects for the chain are soooo satisfying, there is generally some good amount of polish here.
I think the boss at the end was a little anticlimatic though x)
Overall, really well done, this is such a fantastic entry!
Great work! Solid proof of concept for a unique and fun mechanic that is very well implemented and easy to pick up on. Nicely polished also!
Very unique take on the theme and a unique gameplay mechanic. All executed pretty well! Nice Job!
The only thing I'm missing is some more juice and feedback. For example I didn't know if the stronger enemies were unkillable or I just didn't hit them enough times, you could add an effect that communicates that they are immune to your attacks or that they are indeed taking damage. Also I didn't know if I hit the final boss or not, because there was no highlight or particle effect or nothing. Or maybe he had only one health? Hard to tell, and that's what I'm talking about.
But overall this is a very good and creative game.
One of the most creative I played so far. Both on the theme interpretation and the gameplay.
Might be a skill issue on my end, but I could not get used to the core mechanic. But I like the idea and the twist on the theme.
Yiss! The level 5 and mr Boltcutter were pretty hard, but I managed to beat them all! YARR! This was VERY fluid and felt very polished. The whip was hard to figure out, but once you got it, it was pretty intuitive. Well done, good job!
I couldn't seem to figure out how to reliably crack the chain, a little hint for that would've helped a lot. I love the art and how fluid the movement feels.
Fun game! Took me a little longer than it probably should've to realize the speed you move at determines whether the chain will actually snap or not, but I got it eventually.
I love the creativity here! There is definitely a steep learning curve here, but once you get the movement down, it can be really fun. I'll admit that I haven't yet beaten level 8 (and not for lack of trying!), but the other levels were really nice. I found level 5 to be way harder than 6 or 7, but maybe that's just me. Art was nice (though I wish the invulnerable enemies were a little more obviously different from the ones you can kill) and the sound design was solid. The music gets a little repetitive, but not so much as to be distracting.
All-in-all, this was great fun. I had a blast with it despite not being able to finish that last level. Great work!
Really unique mechanic! Took me a while to figure out how to use it but once I did it was fun to play around with. Love the art as well :)
Thanks for playing!
I don't think I've ever seen a game concept quite like this one.
Cool concept! Once i figured out exactly how the damaging works it was very fun!
Really cool game. The chain mechanic is fun to play with.
A literal chain reaction!
Took me a little bit of time to realize how to break a door :)
