(Note: It took some time to finish getting through all of the jam's games. Pardon the late comment!)
The storytelling with Sakuya was extremely fascinating! I was surprised by how deeply it explores her and the other main characters. I also enjoyed how it incorporates the setting & events into its immaculately organic story. That kind of impact makes things especially relatable and meaningful.
(The Castlevania references are a fun detail on top of that.)
On the visual side, the custom VN style surprised me. Being able to customize backgrounds and text placements adds a lot to the immersion in a very unique way, especially combined with the atmospheric music. My attention was also drawn to the willingness to experiment with the fonts & other elements.
One of my other favorite parts was the character designs, and how colorful they are! Meiling with glasses is extremely cool, combined with the rainbow aura and dynamic expressions. Of course, I was also supremely impressed with the others, who also have a lot of visual polish and creativity.
Once again, the thoughtful subject matter is especially front-and-center, and it's executed to perfection. I can tell that there was a lot of love for the project. Congratulations on the top rankings; it's very well earned!

Taking a trope that most people would want gone and using it to tell a message is a wonderful idea! I'm not best person to admire visual novels, but I loved the entire look of the game and how each character is presented. That font though... did slow me down sometimes when it came to reading the story.
I don't throw around the saying "this game is a work of art" that often, but I'm saying it for this game, because it is. The art is beautiful, the music is beautiful, and the story had me squealing like a schoolgirl because of how good it was. I didn't even know I did that until today. Beautiful game, tell your friends about it or I will cry (no I won't).
Well, that is certainly one way to take a stale meme and turn it into one of the most emotionally gripping stories of the jam. Flawless, just as Sakuya would like it.
The "dirt" on her face hit a little close to home. Excellent game, but that little sequence brought me to tears alone. I hope I can be as prideful as Sakuya in her appearance one day.
A beautiful VN that tackles some distressing subject matter with maturity and respect, the writing and art is immaculate, an easy favourite of the Jam. Unbelievable that this could take an old, eye roll worthy meme of the early community and make something genuinely heartfelt with it
(If old timey speech can dominate in the SDM, I can only wonder how Futo would talk like-) Tbh I thought Remilia was supposed to be the voice of reason and wisdom in the beginning. Turns out, talkin' fancy doesn't mean jack (!!) Anyway, that's the moral of the story. Which I totally was able to grasp. Easily. Yeah!
You turned a meme that I found rather unfunny into an incredibly beautiful tale. I have zero negative comments.
Make a Hard Mode in which the font is WingDings and Sakuya fights DOCTOR WINGDING GASTER at the end
The feelings laid out on these pages were quite exquisite. I greatly enjoyed crushing this cat box and slurping out the blood. Me and all of the goats look forward to your next game.
This is so peak.
Really, Really, Really cool game with really cool music
This was a great game. Finished on normal mode with 100% comprehension rate and I'm really proud of myself (this may be a lie). Very interesting take on Sakuya's origin. It's close-ish to common fan interpretations, which makes it easy to get into and allows the focus to be put on the not-so-typical aspects of the story. It ties up really well with Sakuya's obsession with perfection, and gives the daily struggle to keep the mansion clean an entirely new meaning. As far as Touhou jam games go, writing doesn't get much better than this. Great job!
congratulations on challenging the harder difficulty and succeeding. you are a worthy spirit. also thank you!!!!!
One of the most interesting take on a trans story I've seen and a perfect use of the given characters. The presentation, writing and LGBTQ+ themes are all great, only marred by some notable points of missing polish.
thank you!! i certainly could have cleaned up some stuff haha, once i finished the timestop shader i think i forgot to do any more code to make things look nice
To Aeon
I would like to dutifully thank you for the revival of Sakuya Pads, it has been a dream of mine since I was but a wee boy, to bring back such a nostalgic and timeless piece of Touhou history. Skippe's dutifully padded sprite and your inspiring writing truly sends me a cacophany of joy to which haven't been felt since the fans of old who made Sakuya Pads popular in the first place.
In earnest and genuine Regards, JustJEIIRO
To Aeon
I have previously written to and delivered to you by our mutual boy magnet, Skippe. He is a fine gentlemen in his own right I continue from my last letter regarding the Sakuya Pads, to which I must admit was only in jest. I had made that letter without completion of the game and in respect of doing it posthaste, I'd like to reiterate my stance on Sakuya Pads. You have woven a story of comedy and heartfelt emotion into a subject many of our class scoff at; much to their chagrin, your work is dignified amongst petty disregards and I appreciate it thoroughly. I hope this finds you well and I wish you, and our beloved boy magnet, the best in future.

To JustJEIIRO,
Your correspondence fills my heart and mind. I felt so strongly about it that I could only design a response that would circumvent the labor of the renowned Skippé and reach you directly. I take both your sincere and jesting missives kindly and must dutifully clarify my appreciation for them. If beauty is truly in the eye of the beholder, surely you bear within yourself some of the wonderful properties you brand to Pad Maid. Likewise unto you do I offer best regards for future prospects.
With respect, Aeon
