Very cool game and artwork!
Thanks for playing and the nice comment!
Very charming game! The art and sound design are lovely, and the characters look very cute.
Multiple endings were a nice touch, though I wish items you collect had more gameplay value beyond just altering the ending.
The gameplay could use some work because some mechanics seemingly didn't work like I was led to believe. For example, I could only dash up to 13 times and then lose the ability to do so. The morale if the little guys sometimes went down for seemingly no reason, even when nothing was happening. Singing was also confusing because it rarely boosted their morale and just resulted in that ending. which was annoying. The AI behavior for the followers was quite messy, with them running off on their own, getting stuck and, well, not being very good at following. It was nice to have them teleport to you if you got too far away, although with proper follow logic and pathfinding that feature probably wouldn't be needed and would lean into the "defend these guys and lead them back" even more.
Btw, when spamming the fire attack the brightness goes crazy, which I found funny, but it probably wasn't how you intended it to work.
Still, I had fun playing and discovering the endings! Well done!
I should have explained that dashing uses energy and you get more energy singing. I also don't know why the bar goes up even if nothing happened. Checked and there's no code that does that. Maybe you should sing for longer. Every second you sing make them happier. Yes, the little guy AI sometimes does really weird stuff, but I had to start from nothing if i wanted to fix it and didn't had time :(
Tried to reduce the fire light, but the effect was so fun that i just let it like that
Thanks for the honest feedback :)
Cool idea. And very sweet. The singing was a nice touch, as was the scene lighting. Unfortunately by browser reset while playing it due to high memory usage, and I can't download because I am on a Mac. Thanks for sharing this. Cute Art!
Sorry didn't had time to export on mac :(
I played browser in diferent pcs and it's always really slow. But thanks for playing!
The game has a lot of charm and is well connected to the theme. The variety of endings is a nice touch, as well (I think I saw four).
On the other hand, it can be a bit frustrating, mainly because the little ones are not great at following the player.
Yes, the little guys AI kinda sucks. But thanks for playing and the nice comments :)
There are six endings
good art! liked the sound in the game, since alot in this jam kinda ditched sound, tho i think some music would be nice, its a cool story but i think the overall game lacks a lil polish, but the game is well made!
I didn't have time to make music, so i just made the credits song. Thanks for playing
im the orange king!..or something
Yes! Cool that you unlocked that ending
I really liked the art style and the different endings!
Keep up the good work
I like games with diferent ending so i added in mine. Thanks for playing!
The character designs are very cute :3
Thanks. Those one took a lot. My sister helped me
The art style is so cute, I really enjoyed it. I played the browser version and it was kinda laggy, but that might be a problem on my end. I think I noticed some minor bugs here and there, but all in all very good job considering this is your first game jam!
The web version has A LOT of lag compared to the desktop version.
But thanks for the nice comments!
