Thank you so much!! That genuinely means a lot :D

Thank you for the rating! Goblin Slayer was actually a big source of inspiration, so I’m glad you noticed :D I’m curious, though, what parts of the game gave you Souls-like vibes?

Just rated and left a comment. I hope you expand on this!
Here is mine: /jam/brainless-game-jam/rate/4782600

Huge fan of Hollow Knight. You have the core down to a t. The movement and jumping felt honestly quite close. The main thing that was missing in my opinion was some larger impact upon taking damage or dying. Amazing job on this!

Cute jam entry with a solid core idea! Simple and clear objective. Some of the jumps were kinda hard, but maybe I'm just bad :D. Would definitely play again if you continue development after the jam and polish the game more!

Very creative, such an interesting concept! I feel like this has lots of potential if you decide to continue developing it after the jam.

Took me a while to find all of them :D. I really liked the 3D models and the music. Overall very well made, had an enjoyable time playing this one!

Thanks for the feedback, much appreciated.
You can actually even oneshot the goblins. In the bottom center there is a bar, that represents your damage. When fully filled, you do the maximum amount of damage and can even one shot a goblin using the overhead slash. The less filed up the bar is, the less damage you deal. So you need to wait for the bar to fill, instead of just spamming the attacks mindlessly.

Took me quite a while to beat to be honest :D, but wow. I did not expect the game to have an ending. It is such a simple idea, but so greatly implemented. It started a bit rough, but after getting the vacuum cleaner upgrade, it become much more managable. Really great job!

I'm gonna go play yours right now.

Absolute banger. The swapping between little guys world and big guys world was excelent idea. The dialogue was also great. The ending was very cute. One of the best games in the jam for sure.

Thank you, that really means a lot!
I totally understand not wanting to download random .exe files. I did consider a web version, but the game uses Godot Forward+ and a few post-processing shaders, so I’m not sure it would work correctly in browser.
I didn’t want to upload a web build that looks or runs wrong and gives the wrong impression of the game. If I manage to make a stable browser version, I’ll definitely update the page!

I actually liked the art style quite a bit :D. Gets kinda laggy the more you play. I think if you fixed the lag and added some sound effects, it could actually become a very good stand alone game! Had good time playing this!

I like that you give a tutorial at the beginning so players are not lost. The art and the ui was also very nice, I can see that a lot of work was put into it. Love the little guys design :D

The level design was very good for a jam game. I needed to think very hard for some levels to beat them. The music and overall audio was also very nice. Good job!

Absolute banger. At the start, I thought I'll be playing as the 2 humans, did not expect the rat angle :D. Also I really really liked that you unlock new difficulties once you beat the game. The upgrades also felt really good to unlock. At first, I thought that the enemy health was kinda overblown, but as the game progressed I unlocked so many rats, that the health was no issue. Really good job!

That is Windows SmartScreen warning because the .exe is unsigned. If you want to run it, click “More info” → “Run anyway”.

Thanks for the valuable feedback, I'm glad you liked it! :D
Regarding the bar, I designed it to not be linear. When the bar is half full, it does not mean you do half the damage, you actually deal quite a bit less. This design choice is because I wanted the player to really commit to the attack, instead of just mindless spamming.
Also, since the stab attack is much safer than the overhead slash, I made it do less damage. For example if your bar is full, the overhead slash one shots the goblin, on the other hand, for  the stab to oneshot a goblin you would need to hit him 2 times.
I realize, that the lack of tutorial makes these mechanics somewhat obscure. If I continue development, I will make sure to properly introduce all the mechanics to the player.

Cute little game! I think this could be very fun game to speedrun :D, especially the water sections.

Very cute platformer!

Hey, thanks for trying to play it! The download is just a Windows .exe file, so it should work by double-clicking it if you are on Windows. If Windows blocks it because the file is not signed, click: More info → Run anyway That is just Windows SmartScreen warning about unknown indie/game jam executables. If you are on Linux or Mac, it unfortunately will not run unless you use something like Wine, because I only uploaded a Windows build

Very cute game :D. I hope you continue making more games!

The bossfight was very well designed, I had a great time defeating it! I liked he changed based on its HP :D.

Nice game! It took me back to when I used to play Angry Birds :D. Will definitely come back to this and try to finish all levels on 3 stars.

Just rated and commented on yours, had a very enjoyable time playing it!

Very simple, yet very good! I can see that you put a lot of work into this! If you add one or two more mechanics in the future, I can see it growing into a fully fledged game of its own.

it kinda reminded me of the game 'How Many Dudes?'. I really dig the artstyle and the concept has a lot of potential. The waves are short and sweet, I can really see myself playing more of this!
Also, I think I encountered a bug. When I was buying upgrades from wave 4 to wave 5 I upgraded the fist damage for the first time. After that, I couldn't use it, I could use all the other skills, but not the fist

I'll check your game out now.

That's actually super creative! I didn't expect it to be hard, but maybe I just suck :D. I really liked the art and the sound effects. The idea itself is very strong I feel like.

Checking the game out now.

Simple concept, but perfectly executed! The movement felt nice and snappy. I think this game would benefit greatly from implementing coyote time. Overall, good job!

I'll try your game out now! Looks intriguing.

Already rated yours, liked it a lot! Left a comment :D

The cover image is an absolute banger! :D The mechanics were simple, but nonetheless very enjoyable!

The pose when you lift the poster up is amazing :D. I got an average score of 71, which I think is pretty good 😎.

The music goes really well with the art! I really liked the ui :D.

Currently my absolute favourite!!! I see so much potential in this. Loved everything about this, be it the audio or the gameplay itself.

Simple idea, but felt surprisingly good to play :D. I got a score of about a thousand.
