For someone's first game it was done quite well. Though it's lacking music and audio, which is fine. I enjoyed the art/sprites and the background was nice to look it. Love the little detail of their faces changing as they talk to one another. The dialogue was cute on top of that. Nice job!

Thank you!!

It's always nice to see somebody's first dabblings with game dev! What's there already is executed really well. It's easy to navigate the environment to look at things. On top of that, the character chibis are cute, the landscape is nice to look at, and the few dialogues are fun to read through.

Well done on your first jam!

Tysm for the nice comment!! Everyone has been so nice, it's very encouraging ^^

I'm glad to read that you're coming back from creating games since you were a kid. It is a nice playground n.n The art is really lovely and the sprites are so CUTE!!! There is no audio or music so I was just humming and singing randomly while collecting mushrooms and seeing the dialogues.

Glad to hear your friends got you into jamming and hope to see you in future jams n.n

My favorite part: The skybox watercolor texture and clouds is soooo SMOOTTH! I LOVE IT!!

Developer

That's all so sweet of you to say!! The art has been my main focus so I'm glad it came out well ^^

Haha yea the lack of any audio maybe makes it feel a bit empty but I have no skill in any kind of sound design so I'll have to get someone else to help me with that. I love that you were able to fill in the gaps though, that's so amazing!!

"The Donation box. It's empty, Just like my soul" Miko Badass Hero.

Honestly genuinly surpised that something horrifying nor trippy jumped out at me, but i guess i'm to paranoid from popular horror games of the game genre. That or a part of me was expecting  "What is love?" to start blaring like that one game from some time ago

Developer

Haha I haven't considered adding horror elements... unless??? I like the idea though xD

This is nicely made for what it is, and it's much more impressive than what I'd manage if I tried to make a game to the same time limit, so bravo! The sprites're cute and there's already nice attention to little details like the offering box.

Thank you so much! I get caught up too much in the detail, which was probably to a fault for the context of a game jam when I should've been spending more time on gameplay haha.

Hah, I think I've done similar things when writing. If that's what happened then a game jam is a great low-consequence place to have practised scoping and prioritising! I'm sure the experience will stand you in good stead.

I loved the art style of the game, very impressive for your first attempt at gamemaking!

Developer(+1)

Thank you!! That means a lot ^^

Certainly more of a tech demo than a game, but this has a lot of potential with very cute sprites and high quality assets for what's there, I hope we see more from this!

Developer(+1)

Thank you!! I hope so too! I need a break first though haha
