This is so awesome, missile command is one of my favorite arcade games!
Everything was executed so well and there's lots of polish throughout the entire game. I'm impressed.
I'm 50/50 on whether I really like the controls or think they should change. It can be frustrating when you're trying desperately to get your cursor across the screen to zap somebody, but that limitation is part of the challenge.
Using the mouse to aim would make it less frustrating, but if aiming becomes that effortless, you'd probably have to rebalance the whole game!
I like the upgrades that make them bad guys blow up their magic, and I really enjoy collecting magic. Just don't tell mall security that is what you're doing all day, let me tell you, they ask you to leave after that.
I love that this calls back to missile command, but adds a bunch more systems on top. Perfect connection to the retro theme. Impressive amount of content for one week, with all the different spells and the tech tree. Well done!
Really nice entry! It's minimalistic, but it has a great sense of gameplay progression.
I really liked the spell map, but there were a few moments when I wasn't sure what to do next. I think some additional visual feedback or a few more instructions would help guide the player.
I only knew about the spell map because I saw it in the screenshots, not because the game itself directed me there.
Anyway, I think it's a really good game. Great job!
Many thanks to everyone who has played so far! I'm glad people are enjoying it
I loved the crosshair build! Reset cd plus the bomb and knives plus the multi-crosshair. It's a mechanic that I haven't seen before. I also liked how the music ramped up halfway through the waves
Very fun game loop and a lot of content! I’ll be coming back to this one for a while.
Great upgrades and accessibility for the upgrades. I like the difficulty and power ramp.
Fun game! Can always appreciate consistent pixel art, feels very polished.
I really enjoyed the deep sea other worldly theming and the differentiation of enemies movement. Missile Command with spells that you collect resources for with your cursor is super clever and it was cool how built out the upgrade tree was with all the different kinds of spells.
Great challenging game!
Fantastic polish on this one, and I loved the squid sprite lol. A bit too hard for me but I'm not really used to playing this kind of game. Keeping the enemy loot a bit longer on the screen could be an easy way to make it more accessible maybe ?
Great game! Was a bit tough to understand at first but when you get used to it it's very enjoyable!
This was really fun! Going through it the second time with my maxed out build was very satisfying. I didn't lose a single castle
Really good! love the art.
i agree that it was a bit hard to control, but overall pretty good game!
Wow I really like this one. Nice polish on it. Would be nice to be able to use mouse for aiming
I love the space invader type games, will say that the controls was kinda hard to use, but i love the theme of it!
