Godot Version
V4.3

Theme Interpretation
It is a modern take on the old retro style dungeon crawlers where you fight an enemy face to face. The limited palette also evokes that feeling.

Really interesting battle mechanic! Honestly a bit difficult for me, but there were moments where I felt I was doing alright and that was p rewarding. I found the visuals and audio to also be really cohesive :D. Also great job including some tutorial context at the start (I feel like it's so hard to make time for that during jams).

Really great concept and solid, coherent art scheme. I'd have loved to see a more interactive tutorial, as I didn't quite get it for a bit (a game jam curse I know well), but it's fun when it clicks.

Visually really fantastic and the tutorial explained the battle system well. That said, I struggled a LOT against only the second enemy :( it might just be a skill issue, but I found the concurrent incoming attacks quite overwhelming when paired with the timing-based inputs. Still, really impressive for a one-button game!!

I'm sorry to hear the game's difficulty was a problem for you (I can probably work harder to convey that the dodges and the shields work before the parry window)! In the future I hope to include more difficulty options. Thanks so much for playing!

The mechanics, the art, the sound, the story. It's all there! It's so good! It's amazing! The concept is really unique I haven't seen anything like it! Timing parries, dodging attacks, they all clicked after the knight fight when the shield was dropped. In fact, I didn't even need to shield at all!

I really love the introduction, mechanics, sound design and color palette
I feel like I really suck at this game though x)

Cool concept and design, I liked the dialog especially, gave me Don Quixote vibes!

A fun game with an interesting style of combat. I like it, but it takes some getting used to.

Really fun, i really liked how creative the tutorial actually is.

I love it! I really like how the tutorial was integrated into the narrative. The art was cool, the main mechanic was fun, and the short story was interesting.

Amazing visuals, and very cool tutorial!

Really good game! I was a bit confused with the controls at first, but it was really fun once I figured it out.

Nice!

Super cool concept, the fights were hard but I got through them all! I did not understand the dodge mechanics at first nor the parry, but I eventually figured it out and from there, a lot of the fights had a cool flow since I had a lot of different ways to defend/attack. Awesome entry!

This is a very fresh take on combat and the visual design is very cohesive. I wish my timing was better because I was struggling, great job!

Cool fighter! I have never seen something like this before!

Interesting timing themed fighter. I had the same thoughts on the controls as below.

Very innovative idea, I love it! I was a bit confused about the moving mechanic and didn’t end up understanding how it works
