There might be more for you to do if you can make it to 6AM the first time :)

Well polished project with good simple gameplay that doesn't overstay it's welcome. I'm a huge fan of the art style (especially during the cut scenes), and I think the setting is both unique and clever (most people, me included, chose a bedroom). I have three small pieces of feedback:
1. Potentially add a bit more gameplay complexity? Maybe introduce a time limit, maybe have the player type out the words. Potentially have there be two guards, another prisoner? So many options!
2. The fonts on the main menu page seem to be a bit blurry? Might be worth checking if some strange compression issues happened
3. I feel like the game screen at the moment could benefit from swapping the dark and the light color, and I think you should remove the other rooms or do something a bit more visually interesting than just having a few empty cells in there, as it creates a lot of blank space that could be used for nothing else
Great project though I had a fun time typing away
Beautiful art, great sound design, and the gameplay is fun and nostalgic. This could be me being stupid, but I struggled to understand whether the eye was a time limit at which point I needed to win the level, or if it was just a visual waves indicator for how much longer the level would be, since it seemed like the game would softlock sometimes after the eyes were too closed. Also, the game breaks when I try to make it fullscreen. Beyond those small bugs and issues though, the game itself was very engaging and fun! Good job!
Really fun game with a lot of good strategy components as well, and feels well balanced in order to make it feel like you barely won most of the time which is rewarding. My one piece of feedback, similar to others, is to maybe shorten the level lengths since the gameplay doesn't vary too much from minute to minute, especially since failure can only be sensed at the point where the timer runs out
Fun incremental style game, especially with a good payoff for progression using the letters! I enjoyed the color scheme used and how cozy everything felt, alongside the relaxing music. I have two pieces of feedback:
1) The upgrade menu could be more responsive. Maybe have visual indicators for upgrades that have already been bought, and have the text underneath change on hover (rather than the current system where it is stuck to the message it was at the last click)
2) A bit more animation work on the background (like the clouds moving) would add a lot of juice and gamefeel for me personally
Beyond that, I had a great time with this project. Good job!!
Wonderful entry, with a very cozy theme and a cool art style shift in the middle. I like how much character you managed to add into the little item descriptions (38 chocolates for the lava lamp was particularly colorful!)
I ran into the same bug that the others did (which happens when you go south twice after meeting the spider). Beyond that, I really liked the vibe this game invoked, although I wish there were more engaging gameplay mechanics! Good job!!!
Very interesting game and well polished game, with a fun mix of platforming and puzzles based on balancing the night and day cycles. I think I would have enjoyed kinder delays on the breaking blocks during the day cycles so that it didn't feel impossible without slowing to a crawl during the night sections. Similar to what the others have noted, the sound design is excellent! Great project, and so impressive that you did it all for the game boy
Really cute game, and while small, feels incredibly polished. I like the minigames (although the sheep kept getting away from me) and the theming of helping someone sleep was very cute. I wish there was a bit more to do!
This didn't affect my rating of you at all, but when I make it fullscreen there are technically two other colors on the top and the bottom. Didn't meaningful effect my experience and I basically ignored it, but thought I should let you know. Congrats on your first game!
This game is incredibly cute, with a solid and coherent art style alongside good audio as well. I'm actually very impressed that you managed to make such a consistent map system and a great dialogue system as well in the short time that you had! I needed to reset a few times because I got softlocked (would enter a room and not have the keys necessary to get out. There was a good coworker there so maybe they gave me the key but they wouldn't talk to me lol) but it's really an interesting and well made game. I think my only feedback would be that it's a bit easy at the moment since you can usually get past all the guards on just one full bar of sleep!
While I think this game could do with more audio tracks, more visual fidelity, and clearer goal setting early on, I actually think the core gameplay mechanic is quite interesting and has a lot of potential (that I see you explore with the different enemies, such as the hand that slows you down and the virus [?] that pushes you, alongside the box that you can push). I think this movement mechanic could be very interesting in a small setting or with a bigger jump, but at the moment it does hurt my hand. Great effort!

Beautiful beautiful visuals, fun schmoovement throughout the game, and great palette choices, really gave both levels an incredibly fun and distinct vibe. I'm also a big fan of the sound design (although you could have maybe given multiple audio streams for that, at the moment jumping for example cancels out the collectible sound). My only thing is that the connection to the theme seems a bit weak. Very fun project, loved it!
The core conceit of this game is interesting and the gameplay, for the most part, is quite fun. I also enjoy the choice of colors and the sprite work, especially for the various moons. I think my three broad issues with the game were:
1) Some enemy attack patterns feel almost impossible to respond to without a bit of luck. The one with multiple boulders coming up and down towards you can be incredibly luck based to deal with sometimes and the moon charge towards you doesn't have a long enough telegraph period to reasonably respond to
2) The way the UFO interacts with the controls is a bit janky and could use a bit more refinement. I do really like that there is some fun momentum going on, but I feel like the sideway motion and the downward motion at the moment is a bit rickety
3) I think the moon needs some kind of indicator that it's been shot, and maybe have a different type of health bar (since it doesn't seem to decrease at steps of 1?)
But all of these are small flaws in a fun project overall. Congratulations on your first game jam!
I really really enjoyed this game and all 21 puzzles, and I'm particularly a fan of the natural way that the tutorial gets integrated into the first few levels. I also really enjoyed the depth of the diagonal movement, and the feedback where all blocks with a direction glowed when I pressed that direction, it added so much for me. I also really enjoy the baba is you type text on a lot of these levels, was super cute. My two pieces of constructive feedback for what is already an incredible and polished experience would be (1) a shift button that allows me to move my character faster would be really nice and (2) I think you could have done something more interesting with the huge open level (the clean up one). I thought the game was going in a really vast and cool direction when the space opened up, and even a little secret for some people that explored that would be nice.
Really incredible project though, I had so much fun!
Genuinely adorable and beautiful game with a very polished visual style. My one piece of critique would be that the gameplay can be a bit monotonous at times, might be worth including monsters that are drawn to the light, or creatures that steal your flashlights sometimes (but scope creep sucks of course and this is incredible given the time constraints). Great work!
Really fun and retro themed game, was a huge fan of the aesthetic (I love the limited palette and the font!). My two pieces of feedback would be (1) some more backing music would be fantastic and (2) The game behaves a bit strangely when I press shift while combat is happening.
Fun and beautiful project though!
Really fun! There was some cases where I got hit and just out of bounds which could potentially be fixed? Also, I think making it a bit clearer that the objective is to find pumpkins would be nice since I wasted time in my first attempt just trying to wait out the timer (I thought the goal was to survive)
