I clenched a little when I saw it was a vertical platformer. But the death forgiveness is so instant that It was hardly a punishment. The game really flowed much in the style of Celeste. Love the character design and the way the mechanics slowly dripped into play. Only got stuck on a single section and it may have been the most puzzle-like section in the game. Beat it, might play again. Well Jammed!

I ADORED THIS! While the character movement was a bit fast, I didn't really mind it. The level design didn't demand hard precision, so I never felt punished for just running around like a goober. The double smokescreen puzzle was a little bit confusing, but I eventually beat it on accident. Love the art, love the music, overall had a wonderful time playing this on stream! Not sure if y'all intend to make something a little bigger, but I'd certainly look forward to it. Great work <3

first of all, we absolutely adore the design of the main character! <3

the animations and particle effect were really cool - especially for the teleporters. unfortunately, when it comes to visual clarity, some of the platforms and puzzles were a bit hard to read (especially the one with two smoke screens, the infinitely respawning enemy and the face that kills you).

the movement was a bit too fast, and the character felt almost weightless, which made some platforming sections less fun that they could have been.

level design was pretty good, although the final section felt kinda empty - the last few screens seemed like they either belonged at the start of the game, or had been rushed.

oh, and we're not sure if it's intentional, but partway through the game, the music stops playing for a few levels, which feels especially jarring given how upbeat and fun it was beforehand.

overall, it was a nice little bit of platforming, slightly held back by issues which are understandable for a game jam entry!

oh and btw we managed to clip into the terrain in this spot, although we're not sure how to reproduce it:

Very cool game! Cute and functional art style, audio is cool, but most importantly I find the levels pretty well made! Mechanics are well introduced, there always little news things to have fun with. I liked the idea of the smiley face enemy, tho I'll be honest I beat him by accident xD

The characters controls are okay but it would have been wayyy smoother and fun with some coyote time, buffer jump and overall less "static" movement, like a little bit of inertia in the air for example.

Overall cool game! I had fun :)

I thought this was cute, but I agree with a few of the others that the background art is a little confusing. I did not like the 'television screen that bites you' puzzle element. I found it more annoying to deal with than interesting.

I was really enjoying it until I got to that point though! I think you do a good job of teaching people how all of the elements are going to work.

i love the gameplay and really want to squish the main character

i also got this error right after the opening cutscene in the browser version, but the audio kicked back in like half a minute later

i also am not sure if there was meant to be more of an ending, for me it just abruptly cut to the "Thank you for playing <3" screen

Developer

thank you for playing!! we had an ending cutscene planned but it had to be scrapped due to time constraints 🥀

I was excite for this one cos the cover looks great - but I didn’t like it unfortunately.

My first roadblock waa the messy visual communication. You can stand on grey girders - but not black ones? Why have black girders then?

Also the rope outline blocks don’t look like you can stand on them but are safe to stand on?

The platforming could def use coyote time and overall I found it too difficult. Especially when the floating face shows up and kills you in like half a second. I beat a few more levels after they showed up - but eventually I just couldn’t move fast enough to dodge them. At least the checkpoint system is forgiving.

i love the slow introdution to the mechanic here!
this is a fun platformer!

Did not at all expect an antagonist to get introduced midway through the game! The introduction to it was so cool. Love surprises like that!

The level design is really strong here, I feel like each mechanics is very well introduced without being "hand-holdy", making the game a very smooth experience.

Not much to talk about here for me, YOU MADE A GAME! I would suggest adding more content and story if you wanted to sell this, but otherwise, you did it! cute style that grew on me quickly, puzzles that require the player to watch behavior and learn from it, simple platforming. Thank you for makeing this!

Fun little game yall got here

Very fun puzzle platformer! There's some hit-collider issues with the enemies however!

Super fun platformer, the protagonist is such a cute goober and the theming was quite good! The audio was a little too much at some times and the gameplay loop suffers from some minimalist levels, but it was a super fun time!
