This was an amazing experience with one horrifically frustrating and tedious boss fight that took me about a dozen tries to defeat!
The visuals are superb, the sound effects great, and the animations and dialogue are also hilarious, A+ work on the walk cycle!
But man that boss fight is BRUTAL, and not in like a fun challenging way. There's no hinting as to when a box is coming at you, which box will actually hit you, and sometimes the clicks don't register on the cubes. Add on top of that the button to attack is well away from the boxes, so there's a lot of strain on the hand. I've also just never been fond of individual-click-heavy games.
But all in all the good well outweighs the bad, the date scene is amazing, the manager art is great, and I love the cutout stock characters.
Good job!
This was great! Absolutely loved the style and all the different surprises!
I encountered a bug the first time around where I couldn't deliver mail to the post box after fighting the crocodile, but restarting the game and trying again seemed to solve it.
The ending was absolutely crazy. I found the boss to be hard as nails but eventually defeated god with my trusty friend the autoclicker 😅 (sorry I cheated)
It was a pretty exquisite blend of jank, comedy, and actually pretty fun gameplay. Hats off, this was very SBIG!
Well done!
your games have been a huge source of inspiration for this project, thank you <33
It's fun, and the movment is perfect!
Thank you!!! :D
Really funny writing, really good graphics, I had about as much luck with that boss fight as my friend did on stream though (and you have to go through a lot of dialogue to redo it)
Oh thanks!!! I also really loved playing your game it was really fun!!
It's a very specific flavour of weird and janky, and I'm all for it. I don't know if I ran into a bug or just missed something, but there didn't seem to be any new packages to deliver after the woman and the crocodile.
Oh did you make sure to interact with the crocodiles letterbox after fighting it? That might be why you didn’t see anyone else after that!
very nice interpretation of ‘just ship it’, with a very so-bad-its-good overall presentation of a very so-bad-its-good game (albeit the final boss did feel a tad overtuned)
(anyway small tangent - would suggest marking the windows build as being for windows and the linux build as being for linux - it’ll make it possible for people to download and run them via the itch.io app)
Thank you!! Oh yeah I never noticed I could do this for the files,,,, just fixed it thanks for telling me! :)
the walking is cursed (in a "so bad its good" way), when i tried walking back to the direction i came from, the character looked at me menacingly and walked backwards 😂
yup that was TOTALLY on purpose!...
Hands down the best deliveryperson simulator I've played this year. 10/10.
we did research and interviewed real deliverypeople to know what it's really like and to accurately represent their experiences :-)
THANK YOU!
I think this is the embodiment of so bad its good
I hope u get into the compilation :)
thanks twin
Thank you so much it means a lot!!
So I hear you like..... horces........
we're very big fans
oh my god yes
I really don't know what the heck happened to me...
welcome to Packageville....
I was lost and now i'm loster
we made it too extreme
Loved the music and the WALK. The WALK is godly, best animation for this sort of thing ever.
Thank you!!!! good to know that our existential crisis over how a 3D character should move their feet was actually worth it!!
It's a little of a fever dream, but in a good way. I liked working together with the Horse, but I didn't manage to help with his quest.
thank you!!!! yeah I think fever dream is the best way to describe this game...
