Hi everyone!

I just submitted my game, Rate My Run, for the Kenney Jam 2026.

It's a short replay-focused 2D platformer where your 5-star rating gradually decreases over time, encouraging you to optimize your route and aim for a perfect run.

I'd really appreciate any feedback you have, especially on: Controls and game feel, Level design and difficulty, Theme implementation ("SCALE"), UI and readability, Overall fun factor

I'm also happy to play your game and leave thoughtful feedback in return. Just drop a link in the comments, and I'll check it out when I can.

Nice game for such a short jam! The game was good! However, the jumps were a bit floaty and too high. I also would like a purpose of coins, to grant extra time. I ended up with 4 stars. I would also like to see fractions of a star to know when I will lose my next star.

The controls were a bit confusing. I would like the up and down arrow keys to move you up and down a ladder. I would also like to not have stickiness. At the very start, there is a movement delay, but not a jump delay.

The UI was simple and well made, but when using a key, it did not decrease. The theme is used well!

I can stick to the walls...

I would like feedback on my game, https://codergenius72.itch.io/dualspace. I would like to know if from the web version if people would be willing to buy a commercial DLC that includes wing V, and premium mechanics.

Thanks so much for taking the time to play and leave such detailed feedback! I'm really glad you enjoyed the game and that the theme and UI worked well for you.

You brought up several great points. I agree that the jumps could feel less floaty, and giving coins a bigger purpose is something I'd definitely explore in a post-jam update. The idea of showing progress toward the next star is also a really good suggestion.

Thanks as well for pointing out the control inconsistencies, the key UI bug, and the wall-sticking issue. I'll make a note of all of those for future improvements.

I really appreciate the thoughtful feedback, and I'm glad you managed to earn 4 stars!

tried it, was retty cool but i am not a platformer fan :) as for feed back maybe more face emotes on collecting different stuff ) also i think having a small delay after respawning could have served well, died multiple times due to holding a key by inertia from previous death just to respawn and die again , but maybe i just suck in platformers i dunno :) so pretty good!
