This felt very cosy and relaxing, tho I do have to say aiming with a huge gelatine wobblything at those small fruit might be a bit frustrating - also: since when does gelatine eat fruit at all. Still cool entry.

I loved the steering and general concept, I had fun :) I like that you don't need to catch whatever is on the screen, but check the "recipe" on the side :)

Haha loved it, very satisfying movement and collisions! Super simple idea, executed really well!

I would have loved to have some thing counts how many moves/slides you make, and try to stay under a certain number, just as an extra challenge!

But overall great submission! :)

Neat concept, and I had some fun with this one. I like the little bounce animation. Some tips:

  • The gelatin feels slow to stop. Some more friction would help with responsiveness
  • A score counter would have improved it a lot
  • Some levels are almost impossible. Maybe add a way to squeeze the gelatin?

Solid entry overall, well done!

I really liked the movement mechanic! it looks like some of levels were impossible at first but the hitboxes are actually really generous.

The gelatin is such a funny and unique way of conveying the era.

This is so weird, I love it! I think this is the most original interpretation of the theme that I've seen so far, so that's a 5/5 for Theme and Originality from me. Pretty well-rounded game overall, actually. (Apart from one level where a cockroach ruined my gelatin before I could even move...)

first of all, congrats to your first contribution! I added this one to my jam's favorites :) first I thought that I would not enjoy this game but I oddly had a lot of fun with it. The concept is so refreshingly simple and the progression works nicely as well. It also works on my old thinkpad trackpad, which is an extra point from me :) thanks for uploading!

A lot of these jellies are delightfully gross - perfectly captures the 50’s ‘tuna jello’ vibe. The audio is great and really liked the look of the game. Nicely done!

Such a unique and fun take on the theme! Loved the art and the music felt very cohesive to the game. To reiterate some comments, the ingredient placement made some of the levels hard to complete, but luckily the rounds are fast!

I give this game an ambrosia salad/10.

But fr it's fun! Maybe the ingredients spawn a bit too close to eachother sometimes. i had one case where i think it maybe wasn't possible to get to one of the ingredients without hitting one i didn't want. I liked the slippery mechanics, it made sense for shoving jello around.

Hello, nice game. It reminded me of Agario, collecting items around the location. I thought they spawned a bit awkwardly sometimes, but maybe that's just me

Really creative take on the theme, and great art! Took me a while to realise how much smaller the gelatine hitbox was than the image, but found it much easier once I did. Every run my confidence would grow unbounded, and I repeatedly got into head on collisions with cockroaches in my hubristic attempts to create the Bacon Waldorf Wobble at great speed.

Nice work! I felt like I was a spaceship navigating asteroids in... jelly space or something :P

A fun game, and the graphics are pretty good.

Great take on the theme. Very creative. It felt good to play and the music was very relaxing. Good job!

Love this game idea!

That damn cockroach wouldn't go out of the way ...

Had a lot of fun with it. My wife next to me thinks it's gross though. Matter of taste =)

Congratulations on your submission!

So there are individuals who like pickles in their gelatin.
To each their own I guess.  That was fun game. Very cute haha

Fun game! I like your take on the jam theme. A lot of us immediately went to retro games/gameplay, where you took it those strange, nasty salads (actually I bet some of them tasted good, just looked weird). Killed it on the visuals and audio as well.
