Atmospheric and spooky! The red haze and flickering lights added to that especially. Found it a bit tough to navigate / tell what was traversable, but got most of the meats and liked exploring. Great work!

Great minds think alike with the tetris inspo! The 3D angle is very cool, with some tweaking of the camera system and the ability to rotate this could be addicting. Nice work

Love a good wave-based zombie game. Spraying them down with the rifle felt good, though was not sure how ammo worked in the game. Made it to Wave 7 before they got me. Good job!

Great mechanic! Also the levels showcased it well - a puzzle game like this is hard to build on a jam timeline. Reminds me a bit of Braid. Great job!

Congrats on the first game! Huge accomplishment. Onwards and upwards!

Agree with everyone else, like the art a lot! Reminds me of old Flash games. I also think having the maze generation work is pretty cool. Having a more dynamic number of steps based on the maze distance would be a nice addition to tame the RNG a bit. Nice work!

Nice work! I agree with the Nuclear Throne vibes from the other commenter. The sniper rifle felt powerful and liked the progression from level to level.

Ran into a bug when trying to play again (started with level 6 instead of from level 1 and level 7 never played) but I enjoyed my playthrough! Well done

Love the Zelda games this is inspired by and this did not disappoint. The tiki power was fun and the game was surprisingly expansive for a week - excellent!

Beautiful art! I like the folklore connection too, very cool. A couple of the eggs disappeared to me when smushed against walls unfortunately but was fun hunting them down and trying to get as many to the nest as I could

Nice! Like this take on the theme a lot - similar idea as I’m Screwed.

I’m seeing the same error message as rats_nest_corp. Hope you’re able to get it published!

Nice! Love the warp animation with the tiles resetting. Wondered what the planets were for until I started finding cargo. Well done!

Love a funny premise like this. Was playing on a laptop so scrolling was very sensitive but still managed to make it to 30. Great job!

Very fun! Getting coins was pretty slow going, but I quite enjoyed it.

Had fun maxing everything out!

I loved that Aladdin game, makes me want to break out an emulator. Wonder if I still remember any of the codes!

Nice scroll wheel usage. Also loved the music - has a very old-school vibe to it that reminds me of Zelda bosses. Great work!

Cool idea! I like rhythm game mashups like Crypt of the Necrodancer, so always like an idea like this. One thing is that I found it hard to find the beat in-game - I struggled to know when to click and it seemed clicking on the drumbeat was registering as a miss. Still enjoyed trying it though! I saw the 2D level pizzarollz mentioned as well. Cool game, well done!

Made it to the end! The lighting is a great touch, really adds to the experience. The Bullet Bill with the sloped area behind it gave me really strong Super Mario World vibes. The movement is a bit floaty / slippery, but otherwise worked well. Nice job!

Great job! I liked the multi-step tasks, the time pressure was fun and shoutout to Jonic the Porcupine.

Also, fun aside: my team considered this exact concept for our jam entry, down to the text with ‘home in a few minutes’ and a lot of overlapping chores. We ended up picking our other idea to implement, but great minds think alike!

The start screen scrolling numbers were the bytes of your version of the world’s smallest snake! Just an easter egg, was crediting your cool blog post. Looks like the link is down now, but it was this.

Fun game! Very difficult but managed to squeeze by at the end. Agree with fish that the camera shake was overly intense with lots of enemies on screen. Also very minor thing, but having the selection input for the power-ups be the same as dash meant that I accidentally selected level up rewards a bunch of times which was unfortunate. Overall, I really enjoyed playing!

Made it through on my third try - it was tough! Each of the little minigames was fun and trying to evaluate if you can afford to beat it on Medium vs Hard with the amount of time you’re given was a cool mechanic. I think it would have been nice to know more concretely how much time you get with each roll before you choose difficulty, but maybe that would be too finicky

Great work to the whole team!

PS: We actually considered a similar ‘mashup of retro games’ idea before pivoting to what we ended with. Glad you made this!

The windows here are so cool! The vibe of the game is great and the controls are tricky but fair, which is a great setup for a challenging game. Managed to make it to the end (like 56 deaths later). Excellent work!

I feel like the thumbnail isn’t doing the great art/aesthetic of the game justice!

That traitorous shrimp! Loved seeing the fish get so massive, definitely comically large and I enjoyed it. Strong attack ftw

Creepy as hell! Knew things were getting weird when the fingers started dropping. Cool game, nice minigames and liked the music a lot.

The final boss was pretty tough for me actually, but made it there in the end! Nice work

Ah, sorry you got stuck! Were they asking for multiple movies? Customers will accept any set of movies that match the amount they want (though they’ll be less happy if they don’t match their request).

Regardless, a way to skip the current request is a good idea!

Beautiful game with a great soundtrack! Like the character portraits as well.

Ran into an issue where the orders don’t show up if you full-screen the game (weird!) but was able to play as soon as I left full-screen mode. Great job!

The different shapes make for a really cool arcade game style, though the movement was a little hard to wrap my brain around. The invert option definitely helped.

Never played Tempest, but will have to check it out if I see a machine somewhere! Good job

Cool game, seems like it has a ton of depth to it. I need to up my sharpshooting skills though - the accuracy to start is super low and I missed 90% of the shots

Great work!

A lot of these jellies are delightfully gross - perfectly captures the 50’s ‘tuna jello’ vibe. The audio is great and really liked the look of the game. Nicely done!

Glad you enjoyed it! 📼

Thanks for playing! 📼 Sorry you ran into a bug, but truly thank you for letting us know. Thanks to you reporting it, we were able to identify it and get a fix in for it!

The latest version has that issue fixed if you’d like to try again. Thanks again!

The game has such style! The art, UI, music are all really great. I liked playing through it.

I think having a rough idea of Liar’s Dice going in helped - might’ve struggled to understand what was going on without that. Also, Lice Oasis nuked themselves into the ground calling BS which was pretty funny

Fun game, love the turtle and bug sprites! The ladybugs are sneaky and the gameplay is very classic

Would be nice to expand the radius of where the flyswatter hits a bit too as sometimes felt like I’d clicked on a bug a couple times without it registering

Great work!

Enjoyed the art a lot and had fun with building up my zombie horde! Seeing the different zombies was very cute and I liked the newspaper too - I think you did well with the menus.

Only issue was that I found the instability feature / debuffs a little challenging as it felt like anything I upgraded just made things worse.

Great job!

Cool idea, I had fun with it! I liked rotating the crank to fuse the materials though took a bit to figure out. Not sure what the checkboxes were for, so did those a bit randomly

Unfortunately doesn’t load in browser for me, but good job submitting!

Yep, says ‘There doesn’t appear to be anything here…’ for me - hope it gets sorted out!

This was cute! It was thematically fun and I especially liked the different minigames. Nice take on the ‘hero after the quest’ trope, reminds me of Littlewood a bit. Well done!
