I love the first couple of puzzles a ton and this immediately became my favourite "codebreaker" style game I'd played in the jam so far. I love the aesthetic and breaking things up between 2D and 3D was fantastic cos it make it SUPER clear whats interactable and not.Though the boiling effect while entering in the breaker password was a bit neausating up close.

However it did fall over a bit with the phone. SPOILERS BEYOND

Because the phone screen resets after displaying 5 digits it made it look like we were after a 5 digit code. I had found posibilities with 4 and 6 notes - but nothing with 5 so I kept hunting. I had to use the walkthrough to figure out what was going wrong. I will say that even knowing the safe puzzle I can't physically do it cos the tuning knobs are so fiddly.

But yeah generally good game and I super enjoyed the first half a LOT so I still gave it a high rating.

Thank you for the feedback! We tried to slow down the boiling for when it was up close, but I reckon it probably could’ve been slowed down a bit more to avoid disorienting the player! Likely would add an option to disable it, if we had more time! Glad you enjoyed what we went for with the visual separation, though!

We did realize a little too late the multiple shortcomings of the phone puzzle, but by that point it was a little difficult to rework how it was built. I’d definitely provide more clarity in the visual feedback and match up the sounds better, at the very least.

Thanks a lot for the playthrough and the rating!
