Compelling! I might play it a second time to see if I get a different ending. The little sounds were nice. I wish there was a confirmation screen for skipping because a few times I was hitting "N" for Next instead of "P" for Pack, and as far as I could tell, there was no way to undo accidentally skipping an order.

Really liked the visuals and the writing! I appreciate all the spam emails too - it added to the realism and gave me a few chuckles. The characters were especially compelling. I liked that each one felt like they had a real personality and distinct writing style.

Wow really well done on this one! I think the gameplay loop was really well executed, and the writing was really strong - I was super curious about the different characters and how their storylines would play out. It also has good replayability, I didn't mind replaying a couple more times to see more storylines + get new endings :)

Ohh I like the writing. Something happening in this narrative that makes me want to learn more. Also fun gameplay loop! good work!

I was skeptic at fist but I got caught in the management. Well done. I did use this kind of DOS based systems (blue and red), Gosh, I’m old.

Very novel* idea. The terminal look is well done and the character stories interesting.

I feel like I need to press too many keys though. Probably one confirm, one cancel key would be enough for most tasks.

  • get it?

i liked this game a lot. It's has good atmosphere, but i guess it need some relaxing or quiet music to be more atmospheric. I liked interface, characters and their writing style, you can see that it's different people by that fact. I had only one ending, but i'll play for others

I really enjoyed the writing in this game. In your description you mentioned 3 re-writes and I think the level of effort there really shows. I like how the game starts initially as an unassuming inventory management game, and then takes some unexpected turns along the way. My one point of feedback is that it would have been nice to include some accessibility options to turn off the crt and warp effects as I tend to find them a bit tiring on the eyes. Really great work here though, nice submission!

That is definitely 10/5 in originality.

I used to work with old software, and this is exactly what old interfaces looked like back in the day... You absolutely nailed the retro theme.

The interface was a bit blocky too, which made it feel even more authentic. I didn't get to play much this time, but I'll definitely come back because I want to see how it ends.

It honestly feels like part of a much bigger game—as if this is the interface you're using on a computer in a 3D world while some creature is lurking in the darkness just outside your view. It totally gives off that vibe.

Awesome game!

Wow this is excellent! The interface and narative are both very enjoyable, solid all around!

This game is so cool! It took me an embarrassing amount of time to realize that you can scroll down to find more books in the list. But other than that it was a really fun experience!

A primarily text based submission always makes an impression, and this is no exception. Really great work!

I liked this one! I was like $25 away from the bus ticket so I didn't get that ending, unfortunately. At first things felt a little slow, but then the mystery picked up and I found myself wanting to know more about the town and the character we play as.  Almost felt like I was reading a mystery novel :)
