I have died 121 times to spikes 🪒.
Thanks for adding the signs 🪧↗️➡️↘️↙️⬆️. With a lot of platformers I don't know where to go, especially levels that have you jump off screen.
I could NOT beat level 2 but I tried! Going fast felt good, I think with input buffering I'd be able to zoom thru the levels with the larger platforms.
Nice work!

How does your game fit the theme?
My game features a 30-second countdown timer; when it reaches zero, the world is destroyed.

not bad! the platforming is precise and the screen shake when you're running out of time is fun, but maybe excessive?
A fun and quick platformer! The controls feel smooth, though it does feel a bit lacking overall. The art itself is great, but I'd like if there were some audio, even a basic sound to go with the jump or royalty-free music in the background, and some unique mechanic to differentiate it from just a basic platformer.
So it's a cool platformer, I like the art and the custom death illustrations per level.
The controls actually feel pretty good, but the platforming is tough! It feels very precise, which the fast-paced movement makes way harder. I also think the screen shake when you're about to run out of time is a little too much! It's very distracting. I think having a platformer with a timer like such and fast-paced should have less precision-based platforming.
Also I wish there was audio
Overall, as a one-person job, this is well done.
Congrats on a successful jam!
Thank you for this delightful comment. Due to a tight schedule and a late start on the game jam, I was pressed for time and couldn't include lighting effects. As for the difficult controls, that was intentional; the goal was to make the game as challenging as possible so that reaching the final door of the level would be very difficult. Regarding the intense camera shaking when time is running out—I simply didn't have the time to refine it.
Beat both levels. Never felt so frustrated towards spikes before. Fun levels. Wish I could use the spacebar for jumping. Also, once I beat the second level, I had no way to close the game.
I got stuck on level 2, but still enjoyed the game, still a good game.
The level 2 is so hard !!!
You should try godot it will be easy to export your game for web ;)
Good good! I was able to figure out on the second level the I could jump over the first few spikes to skip a chunk of level. If I could change anything I would add input buffering and coyote time
