How does your game fit the theme?
Our game fits the theme of countdown in two major ways, but also thematically throughout. Mainly through its 1v1 platform racing style that is tied to the measures in a song. The clock counts down the number of beats left in your turn, and if you don’t make it too the needle/goal-post set by the opponent on their turn before the countdown is over, you lose a life, represented by three strings. The other way our game fits the theme is through its connection to time and celestial events. A full playthrough is a countdown until the solar eclipse, or the destruction of the moon

Played it with my teamate!
It was kind of fun. The sun moon lore was cool, and how the moon eclipses the sun if you win as the moon guy, that was cool! The music was great as well.
I think the controls were a bit akward, mainly the walljump and the collisions with the platforms were a bit weird. (maybe because you can wall jump off of platform edges? Which stops your momentum?)
Very fun game! I could see myself breaking out a full version of this with the chaps I hit stuff like Towerfall with. Will be keeping an eye on its future updates for that purpose, in fact.
The music and art are fantastic, and it plays quite well, though I do think the tutorial should have mentioned that there’s a wall jump.
Great work!
Thanks so much for the feedback! Cant believe i missed mentioning the wall jump, thanks for the reminder i didn't realize!
Thank you for adding the single player version of the game (although I'm a big fan of multiplayer) :)
this game what beautiful, i loved the clock person and the hands at the bottom were super cool! when i fell and it grabbed me, wow
and the whole sequence at the end with the sun and moon
very very cool! i was absolutely terrible at the gameplay though, i couldn't seem to jump or wall jump as high as i needed, and i had trouble staying on the narrow platforms
amazing quality game!
Thank you for the kind comment!! One thing that we should have emphasized more is you can dash upwards.. that might help with the height issue!! Thank you very much!
fire graphics and music. fun play. want more!
The passion for this game is practically oozing out of the screen. Everything from the custom music, pixel art, gameplay, and even the dialogue! Its fun, its quick, its wildly inventive, but better yet I see something else. A very clear developing style. I cannot wait to see how this style grows and changes for each subsequent game, I, for one, will be the first in line to see it. ALSO THE MUSIC IS SOOOO GOOD
Wow thanks!
Love the art style and gothic theme yoiboi

The game has so much personality, couldn't get a good grip on the jumping mechanics, but enjoyed the vibe and competitiveness of it, good work!
This is beautiful and has legs for a full game! I don't really vibe with the control scheme and find it unintuitive, but that's easily fixed. I would probably also open with the tutorial.
Thats great to hear!
I did struggle to decide what controls would be best, if you dont mind me asking, what controls do you think would feel best, for a split keyboard that is?
In the absence of remappable controls, probably lateral movement on A+D/left-right with an auto-dash or auto-jump up on W/up that steers with the lateral controls, and the other option of jump/dash on both Shift keys or Q so it can be played one-handed? Just thinking out loud though.
I think what got me is feeling like W should Go Up, but the most up-going is dashing and you want to be doing a lot of dashing. So it feels like you're presented with 3 options for Up, one of which you're never gonna use.
My husband and I loved to play this together. It was really cute and challenging. Good job!
Thats great to hear! thank you both for playing
First time to see a local coop platformer in a jam, but don't worry got plenty of experience playing fire boy water girl I got this.
(also also the character animation is very expressive and cute it's pretty good) If you choose better colors for the background I would give the full artwork rating!
Yeah we were a bit worried that local multiplayer would be shooting ourselves in the foot, but we just wanted to make it work anyways.
Do you mean the mountain background or the castle background, or both?
Thanks so much for the feedback!
very good stuff. The animation is 10/10
Made me think of Aria of Sorrow. Visuals and music are very well made.
I love the artstyle, narrative and gameplay. The fact that it is a multiplayer game makes it stand out even more.
Love the visuals and audio. Interesting gameplay but also cool take on the platform racing style!!
Found a minor bug but doesn't really hurt the experience.
if you dont mine, what was the bug?
Thanks!
In the tutorial stage, the player is controlling the left character and then shift to the right character, however, the right character is facing the other way when you move. For example, the sprite faced left when I moved it to the right. (Not sure whether it was a bug or intended haha)
Thanks follwing up we will fix this!!!
I personally really like the visuals and audio, and found it quite fun as a whole! Would definitely play again.
Played this with my friend, and we both thought it was a super interesting premise! Could have been helpful to have a reset button that brought you back to the start of the game as opposed to the main menu- i understand the incentive since it's a 1v1, but we found ourselves wanting to get back into playing immediately after one person lost (so in some ways, it still felt like a cooperative experience) Super well executed overall and we had a fun time with it!
ahh good idea, i think we will add something like that after the jam. Thanks for playing, and I love to hear when someone managed to play it local multiplayer as it was intended!
I really love the animation!
Thank you elon <3
Insanely beautiful music and visuals! Really love that this isn’t a rhythm game but still has a huge emphasis on the music.
Thanks Bootle :)
