A fun, highly replayable and very addicting experience!
Once the player understands how the explosions tie into the health bar and blast radius, the game becomes a sort of tactical chess where you need to time your explosions to where enemies will end up being (instead of detonating where they currently are, which will just cause the explosion to miss and waste a life).
The powerups are also interesting, although I feel that they can make movement a lot more difficult/tedious since:
The leaderboard however is a great touch since it makes players want to replay the game in order to overturn each other's high scores. I'll probably go back to this game after the Game Jam just to see if I can place even higher!
Very fun arcade-style game with a surprising amount going on!
Visuals are great, the basics of the gameplay are intuitive, and the leaderboard is a nice touch (though there's no way I'm getting into the top 3, best I could manage was 7th at the time of writing this).
The only real gripe I have is that while the core gameplay loop is easy to grasp, some of the extra mechanics (like how some of the powerups or enemies work, along with health) felt a little less intuitive. Some kind of legend that the player could quickly reference if needed would have gone a long way to making everything a bit easier to understand (similar to how the minimap is a toggleable popup - great feature by the way). I don't think a traditional tutorial would work however. I actually really like that this game just drops you into the gameplay as soon as it loads, it's a bit unconventional and caught me off guard at first, but it works astonishingly well and I don't think that should be changed by forcing a tutorial into the game.
Great work with this!
Love the retro vibe and gameplay. Really felt good to chain kills to progress further and the sound design was done really well
Really unique twist on a classic game with insanely good execution! The game feel is really on point, and the art and audio really great too. The UI is super clean and intuitive! I liked the variety of powerups too, they’re interesting to play around
This was really good! Kudos on getting a leaderboard in for a jam. That's hard to do!
The sprite work is all really good and the mechanics are cool and interesting.
A ton of fun! Love the addition of the leaderboard too, easily the best entry I've played so far (not biased that I made it on the leaderboard)
Damn such a cool game!
Amazing game; knowing the creatures' next moves reminded me a bit of *Into the Breach*, which alone would have been enough for me to love it. I also snagged first place, even if only for a short while :D
wonderfully crafted game.. the amount of animations was refreshing compared to other static games
Really cool game! As a bomber man fanatic it was a refreshing experience! I didn't like how I was forced to move two spaces and couldn't get in the room I was right next too.
Fantastic design. Easily understandable after just a couple moves. Beautiful art on top of it all.
Really cool take on a bomberman-esque game. The art is incredible and the audio work was really well done :)

Everytime you explode it feels really nice when you hit a combo. I wish some upgrades were pernament , but maybe there are some , other than the hp up , that I simply havent found?
What a fun and addictive game! I am very impressed by the balancing which makes it possible to keep playing when you plan well while still keeping you on edge. The addition of a leaderboard is a great idea too (and I am please to say I am, as of writing this, in the top position)
Solid entry. I really enjoyed the presenatation and the gameplay and concept are quite well executed. Not much to critique, it's a nice game.
Well done :)
Incredible art and audio, very fun idea too. Took me a little bit to understand how health worked. Really impressive stuff, and the leaderboard is cool as well
I can keep playing this, there is enough power-ups and possible routes for me to try getting higher and higher scores.
Very fun game and unique ideas. The music was also very fitting.
