Incredible art! and the game is really fun
I love the art! Very polished game!
Nice idea! I'm a big fan of the audio design, very polished and impactful! :)
Excellent exploration of the central mechanic! Having the boss movesets be basically identical but recontextualised by the different shapes of the arena around them is really clever design :D also shoutouts to the back facing cast sprite that's a great detail
The boss thing was partly due to necessity (a jam probably isn't enough time to make four unique bosses) but it worked out well from a design perspective as well. I'm glad you noticed the backwards cast, I was proud of that detail.
I would absolutely play a larger version of this! just the first ability has a ton of possibilities for good puzzles and combat.
Beat it with 6:22 and 7 hits.
Very polished game for the jam. Level design and puzzles feels intuitive and mechanics are introduced smoothly.
The artsyle is charming and I like the music and sound effects.
Wow hyper polished and really fun to play despite the simple mechanics! Also its crazy how similar the art styles and overall magic concepts were to my game, great work!
Very polished game for the limited time, the main mechanic is really the most fun part! Even tho it doesn't properly fit the jam theme, still had fun playing it
Great game, but the interpretation was a bit loose
Feels very polished for a jam game, and I really enjoyed the loose interpretation of the theme as the central mechanic.
Nice Art and Feel. Well Done! :)
Cool game :)
Apart from it not being the best use of the theme, I do love this concept and it makes for a great game with lots of potential!
Awesome pixel art! The game mechanics was smoothly introduced throughout the entire game and each new platforming/combat challenge really felt like a natural progression from the previous one. Using the upwards cast on yourself to get to the higher platform was a really cool moment imo
A beautiful pixel-art game—quite fun, well-polished, and with incredible potential!
The game is interesting, doesn't really fit the theme at all but still impressive for 4 days. Good job!
Nice visuals and polished gameplay! I really liked the bosses, although the blue one was a bit easy to cheese by just spamming on it when it landed on the spikes. I agree with the other comments though that the new ability was super confusing. Otherwise I still had fun! I do think the link to the theme was rather weak though.
Cool game! I really liked the skill mechanic.
Great puzzles and great physics ! Really good stuff. One thing though :
[spoilers]
Maybe a different button for the other ability ?
I agree that activating the upgrade is a little awkward (some other commenters have brought it up as well), but it's how I tried to fit the game to the theme (you have to COUNT your DOWNs to trigger it), so I couldn't really bind it to another button. If this were a non-jam game I definitely would have had a different button for each.
Thank you for playing!
Very nice game! Great work.
