Really interesting take on a incremental upgrade game. I appreciate the UI dialog polish. The dialog animating onto and off of the screen was quite charming. The font was a bit difficult to read at times, and the beast sometimes felt like it was a bit campy near the bonfire, but otherwise I had a blast!

What a nice visual! I pretty love Enya – the fairy that gives you dialogue and instruction. IDK why, but I'm using Firefox and it's kinda laggy when loading the game and when I'm exploring. It's still playable, but the FPS is only around 50, sometimes it drops down to 30. That's the problem for WebGL, I downloaded the window version, and your game works completely fine. Well done for the game jam <3
Thank you so much for taking the time to check out our game! Thanks for the feedback too!
And yeah.. the web version was not conceived until an hour prior to the deadline lol. We didn't realize how import having a web build would be until then. Our game is not built for web so it's pretty unoptimized.
Great game, brilliant visuals! And the premise is really interesting!
Wow, I love the visuals and everything, and the whole loop of scavenging and then upgrading is super fun, you have done a great job here!
Really enjoyed this game! The atmosphere and audio were really good. It was really spooky!
This was great! Impressed with the upgrade paths and music and atmosphere. Very spooky. Accidentally closed the tab when minotaur showed up trying to crouch with ctrl+w :(
The atmosphere is really immersive.
I got really spooked by the first minotaur apperance.
Really solid game! Really cool spooky atmosphere, the progression system makes it feel very fleshed out!
very cool atmosphere, i think you nailed the lighting and the creepy feeling. it's my first time playing a combo horror / incremental as well, very creative!
Love the atmosphere of it. Really interesting take on the theme. I would like to see more of it.
You've nailed the horror aspect, but the gameplay loop is tedious! Focus on the horror and this will be great!
I love this type of game. Incremental spooky push-further-each-time horror.
The thing it could have used most was actual darkness in the dark. I never needed the upgrade that increases lantern distance due to that fog that lets you see in the dark. It also made it easy to spot the monster and detracted from the scares.
Very moody and polished game. I enjoyed it a lot!
The font had some scaling issues that made it difficult to read sometimes.
Thanks for sharing that with us. Yes the web version is far less performant, that's just the nature of exporting a 3d game to the web. The freeze you experienced when hitting an object for the first time, if it didn't happen again after that, then it's due to the engine loading the shader for the particle effect for the first time. This is a classic Godot optimization issue that takes a lot more time to work around, something that would be great to have solved but 4 days is tight! That freeze is not something we as the devs noticed because after the particles load for the first time on our machines, we never run into that freeze again as the shader was then cached.
This is by far my favorite submission from this jam art and vibe-wise. This game feels so polished and has great potential. Although I will say that after about 7 minutes of playing it did get sort of monotonous or at least the dungeon did. But again, I still really enjoyed it!
Very simple idea, but I actually had a lot of fun playing it! I like the moody visuals, the progression, and the tension of avoiding the Minotaur. Almost all of the upgrades were worth getting , and it was neat that getting more movement speed and stamina allowed me to kite the Minotaur and get past him, it felt like a very organic way to progress
