I love story games, especially love stories games. The music in the main menu is really great, the one at credit is also great too. But during the dialogue it doesn't have much sound or music, I think this is the part that you can improve more. the train- moving sound, the NPC dialogue sound, the sigh when NPC thinks about the past... These SFX would make your game more responsive. The art style is also really great, characters also have different facial expressions, but I wish I could see more about that. Your game reminds me about the game on Steam named "LoveChoice", check it out, I hope it will give you something to learn and improve your and. Anyway, nice game, wonderful narrative <3
Hey Ixzero! Your feedback being someone so pationate about games like this is extremely valuable! Our initial idea was to have many more animations for the dialogues and train part, but we underestimated how short 4 days can be to do everything we wanted :X
Thanks for playing it and I'll definitely check LoveChouce to get a better idea on how to improve this game! Also, if you want to drop a follow, we might keep developing this game after the jam, and maybe you have something that you like to play if we release it!
Amazing art, good sound design, great story! Also I feel like this was quite a unique idea for the theme and it worked well. There was so much emotion in such a short game.
It's our first take ever on a visual novel, so if it meant something for you, its actually a good indicator for us! Thanks for playing, Hideos!
It's a wonderful take on the them and I wish there were more of these in the jam. The game is short yet sweet, and the artwork is great.
My only suggestion is for the conversation UI. I think the chosen dialogue options not being "spoken" by the character made it harder to follow at times.
Hey Blue, thanks for the feedback! I totally agree with you, it should be more clear who is speaking, and you are not the only one who said this! Thanks for playing and for giving this advice!
short but such a lovely game! i'm in love with how your project looks, big fan of these animations! well done
Your feedback is really important to us, thanks for playing!
What a lovely experience, and great take on the theme! Everything was so nicely polished. I really enjoyed it.
We tried to be creative about how we were handling the theme, it was a bit scary but your comment makes us believe que got a cool direction!
Wow, what a stellar take on the theme! So cozy but heart-tugging
Glad you enjoyed it!! Thank you so much for playing it! <3
For a very chill/cozy art style, the music seemed quite liminal/heavy in a way that imo blended really well into the narrative themes of this game. Great artwork and polished game, well done!
The music happened to be quite a difficult part of the game, because we really wanted it to evoke a deep feeling, together with the narrative. Thanks for playing!
That was definitely successful; that part really stood out to me! great game! ^^
Dem..Pretty cool interpretation of the theme..I liked the narration a lot...artsyle is also fitting well in the vibe..Short and beautiful game...Great work!!
Thanks a lot! We ended sticking with the first idea for the theme, so we gave our best to bring something nice around it hahaha. Happy you liked it!
Didn't expect to find this small gem among all the entries, the narration is so nice the artstyle super charming, an impressive game made in such a short time! Great job:)
Appreciate that Ire! As a visual novel, we tried to bring some weight within the narrative, which were really happy to know people are getting connected in some way!
really pretty game. reminded me of Past Lives instantly, though it ended up being way different. i love the environment and how the subway noises and music tie into it. overall great game :)
That was one of the references for the plot! hahaha We did our best to make the players feel inside a subway enviroment! Thanks for playing!
The music of the game fit the vibe so well! Also, the pixel art looked amazing! Great work!
So glad you liked the vibe and the art too! We did tried to work with a music that could bring something besides the dialog. Thanks a lot!
This one is very different than all the others I played. In a good way. Very nice visuals, and the music is fitting too. You are very good at evoking emotions. Congrats!
We tried to do our best to match the vibe, happy that you liked it! Thanks for the kind comment!
This game reminds me of the bitter sweet memories with people I used to know and the fall out that eventually happens. This game may not be long but is special feeling type game. Probably the best narrative game from this jam that I've played so far!
Hey Benny, comments like yours makes us think we got exactly where we wanted with our narrative and art! I hope this game encorages people to send a message to their beloved friends or family. Thanks for playing!
Man this is so special, the narrative is amazing, plus the style compliments the narrative perfectly, amazing job!! Loved it so much :-)
Glad you loved it! We did our best on this 96 hours to try to craft something that could hit a spot, and if it did, I'm super happy!
This is really a special little game! I was curious so I played through a few dialogue tree options and I was surprised to find they all end differently, and each one evokes different feelings. Things are left just ambiguous enough that as the player you end up projecting your own past/insecurities onto the characters. As a short, emotional experience, this works so well. Never really played anything like it. Awesome work!
Thaanks! Yes, there are multiple endings based on what the player chooses hahaha Good to hear we could manage to reach the players in some way. Thanks for playing!
daaaaaaammmmmmm this game got me thinking... like proper thinking... the countdown started long before we see those two huh
sorry sorry amazing game, amazing narrative execution
That was exactly what we were looking for with the story hahaha Thanks for playing!
a short fun story, it was nice seeing how the conversation changes with the choices, one small nitpick the text on the top and the bottom of the screen was a little awkward to jump between and sometimes i didnt know who i was choosing the next line for, i think a small audio queue for text start and making the text box only at the bottom might be a good change.
Thanks for playing and even more for the suggestions!
Great game, i enjoyed it soooo much. I loved the dialog, the concept, i am in awe!
Thanks for playing our game!
super lovely game! there's something quite cathartic about it and i love how grounded it is.
Glad you enjoyed it!
The sound and presentation was great! Also liked the story and the ambitious way you were trying to sell these characters in a short 2 minutes
Pretty happy about knowing that you liked the art and our presentation, we did out best to bring some cool ambience to it!
