Very creative game idea, good art and music. It was a fun play but it was a little hard to tell who is who and sometimes the footballers got stuck behind the wall

Submitted

I love the idea, but it seems... i can't i get into it, as other ppls have noted, it quite hard to distinguish who is.

Also i think this game should have a settings to set the screen to windowed mode, as my pc runs a bit laggy on fullscreen mode.

But overall its fun! Nice work!

Great work! but the football player who have been dragged out from the screen is a little bit too annoying since they just alway jump into the stage (and the timing they jump is too wierd that I just almost take a perfect photo)

Fun! The visuals and game feel were great, especially the satisfying flash that happens. As others have noted, I think it's a little too hard to tell who is who with the small visuals, but it still ended up pretty fun because instead of being confident in my choices each round ended up as a little experiment like "oh hm ok i guess that wasn't a ref, good to know."

Developer

Thank you so much for playing, and this feedback! 🙌

What a great way to spin this, maybe the visuals being pretty small and similar to each other is a feature for hardcore gameplay 😄

Tbh, since the time “per run” is the same, I was thinking that repeat playthroughs would be fun… but of course I’d want the challenge to be more “oh the captains may go after the trophy, so if I put it on stage…”, and not “which ones are captains again..?” 😄

Thanks again, glad you had a good time!

I love the pressure and the vibes. Fun micro game that's very polished for this jam.
I did have trouble telling the difference between the characters, since that wasn't terribly clear with the smaller screen on the browser.

Developer(+1)

Thanks for playing! “Fun micro game” is a great way to put it, makes me think you could put something like this in a slice-of-life abstracted game like Consume Me! I’ll keep this as a thought 😄

And yeah, haha, I wish I could put most of the blame for not making the characters stand out on the small screen, but it’s skill issue on my part I’m afraid 😄 I’ll strive to be better at art by the next one!

Thanks again!

The characters all look the same, and I have no clue which one’s meant to be which–

The concept is great, it’s just… I can’t get into it, I guess.

Developer

Thank you for giving it a chance 🙌

I’ll definitely focus on the art aspect next, crisper characters with clearer silhouettes! Definitely not my strong suit to begin with, and doubly important when the game is about discovering the correct characters to interact with!

I did add outlines to the characters and props related to the current brief, in the last minute of the jam, but it was definitely a developer’s band-aid 😄

But one of the reasons I enjoy Game Jams, it’s forcing me to improve in the other creative aspects too. Thanks again!

It looks very nice, i really like the visuals. It just has the sauce, it feels very fun to play

Developer(+1)

Oh wow! A combo of the best compliments ever 🥹 Now I need to print a poster, and headline it with “It just has the sauce” 🤩

Thank you so much!

Great job! Extremely creative and timely. Cool to bring things from around the wall into the photo and recognising each character is doing what to achieve the goals of each stage.

Developer

Thanks for playing and the review!

Gameplay got a bit chaotic by the end when I got all the characters in, so it’s great to see you can still make out that each one has different goals… and you can “entice” some of them to get on the stage by themselves 😄

Loved the idea you've done a great job. The creativity is there, it's nice but In my opinion, the menu could have been made better and the characters are somewhat not distinguishable. Other than all that, loved the game

Developer(+1)

Hello Lem0n! Thanks for playing, great ideas & feedback!

The menu, 100%! It was the first thing I put in, and I thought, eventually, it’d be nice to at least have the title be inside a photo frame or polaroid, and even have a view of the football field, or some characters to fling… Didn’t manage to revisit, just added the little introductory narration 😄

And the characters, 1000%, haha! Maybe next time I’ll be a bit better with art, and I’ll start from “each one has a distinguishable silhouette at a glance”.

In the last hour before submission I thought of adding the outline stroke to the related characters & props for the round: it was a scramble 😂

Thanks again 🙌
