Felt absolutely crazy and chaotic. The effects were great, truly a trippy experience. The way the game started with everyone fighting in the main room was ridiculous, in a good way. Now that I think about it, I wonder if it was a bug.

You did a great job, well done!

Absolutely love the artistic direction of this one - the sound, the music, the shaders, all of it lending to the feel of that psychedelic, drug-induced haze. The enemy variety was fun, the sprinter always had me needing a change of underwear... It's a great adaption of the classic twin-stick formula to the theme of the jam, could easily see this being extended into a larger game!

The screen shake and explosion effects are absolutely awesome! It was such a great experience!

I think you did a great job with this game. The concept is interesting, and I really like how it fits the jam theme. It feels like a creative interpretation of the idea. Congratulations on your submission!

Very trippy visuals! Love the simple bassline in the background. My only real complaint is some awkward stuff going on with the level layouts; sometimes, healing particles or enemies would get stuck in a wall or between props and I'd have a hard time reaching them.

Developer

Thank you! Yeah, you're right - the random placement of obstacles can be a bit awkward and can block off important stuff. I think post-jam I will work on more intelligent ways to place items as well as proper pathfinding for the enemies. I appreciate the feedback :)

I really liked the effects you used I've never seen any like it, it felt very trippy going around the levels. It got hard at times to shoot everyone in the levels with all the psychic madness but I felt that added to the experience. One suggestion I would have is to implement mouse controls so that you're able to both click on menu items and shoot in more precise directions.

Thank you! The shaders were the most fun part to make probably, spent a long time tweaking sliders on them.

Yeah, you're right. I will add mouse support after the jam closes.

This feels really well rounded and makes me want to spend a lot more time than I probably should playing haha. Mouse control would have been nice for menus but I get that its probably a stylistic choice for the arcade-game aesthetic. Awesome work!

Developer

Thank you! That's a good idea, I was focused on getting a controller version out for the deadline but I will add that after jam

Genuinely Most fun ive had playing a game in this jam so far. Im a big VFX guy and can say the VFX meshes well with the subject matter. Other than that it gameplay felt fun and easy to catch onto. I love fighting it out in the arena while tripping balls with other trippers

Developer

I'm glad to hear it! Thanks!

The shaders were a lot of fun to mess around with

Colliders felt a little janky at times but gameplay is awesome. Very chaotic yet still easy enough to keep track of.

Developer

Thank you! You're right, could do with a a bit more precise alignment between sprites and hitboxes
