Pretty interesting. I've actually been in the same boat of not being an artist and  going with ASCII. I imagine it gave you more time to make the world feel lived-in (like the NPC routines and chatter).

Developer

Thanks, that's pretty much exactly what happened! :P

I've tried it a few times, and the most I've managed to kill is four people before I got arrested, but I had a lot of fun. It's very creative with the ASCII art, and the couch is really comfortable for waiting for the right moment, hehe. Great job!

Thanks! Next time you can try attacking the cops too, heh. I forgot to restrict certain actions while dragging a body so it can also be cheesed...

Ohhhhh, I didn’t think outside the box! Why on earth would I kill the caps? XD Thanks for the hint. And thank you to try our game too <3

Also I found if you hang out with a body juuust inside a room (blocking 1 tile past the doorway), no one will enter that room due to how pathfinding works...so you can try and use that to time things. Though, that wasn't my intention. 😅

cool style, and the game has  far more details than a player expected first.

Developer

Thanks! I'm glad you appreciated the details!

Surprisingly good gameplay! I like the ASCII visuals. I think it would be cool to have some mechanics to make people move to certain locations or have more options in  general.

Developer

Thanks! I agree. An accidental mechanic did "emerge", since you can kill them while holding a body, which leaves the other body blocking areas...completely unintentional, but it makes for some interesting tactics.

Damn, an ASCI game in 2026? Count me in. Very creative!. Wish it could play into the theme better, but the game is still great!

Developer

Thanks!

Wow super clever and creative. Not used to these style of games but was fun to give a go!

Developer

Thanks! Glad you enjoyed it!

I really liked the ASCI art! I was confused at the start on hiding the bodies, but I eventually figured it out!

Developer

Glad you figured it out! Agreed, it could've been just a bit easier. 😅

Really cool game! Love the use of ASCI art, though it's not something I'm used to, it was fun to try!

Thanks! Originally I was thinking of doing pixel art (ran out of time) but I'm not really an artist so this probably worked out for the best. Perhaps it makes it a bit more fun to "imagine" the party.

Really cool game! Reminds me of a mix of Dwarf Fortress Classic and Party Hard. I was a little bit confused on how to hide bodies, but I did really like the aspect of sneaking around with them! Really awesome stuff :)

Thanks! I thought about leaving some more hints about the hiding, but it would take away from the "exploration" aspect a little bit, so I didn't. I'll leave a little hint here: apartment corners.
