The countdown is the literal human lifespan. Time, sanity, and currency are the exact same resource in our game, and you must harvest your workers to keep the clock ticking.

it's difficult, I couldn't beat it after a few goes, but I get the appeal

Very very cool and interesting take on the theme! It was challenging, but very fun to meet the quota. I enjoyed reading through the devlog as well (i found the title quite funny)

I never understood how to distribute their sanity to keep them alive.  I took one second from someone, and then gave another one second... is there a way to accrue more seconds? This game would benefit greatly from a tutorial.

I like the typing sound.

I'd rather the pixel sizes be uniformed than of varying scales, but aside from that it's got a charming look.

Decent entry!

You can click multiple times to store more time and give it to the rest. Thanks for your feedback!

I liked the concept. It took me a while to figure out the optimal strategy, but once it clicked it became much more engaging. I think making the workers' productivity a bit easier to read would help new players. Great job!

Developer

Making the workers' productivity more obvious was probably the main trouble I had during the development, the solution I got was to show the production process bar and each worker's animation to have a different speed, however I agree that it still isn't quite intuitive. Thanks for your review!

the pixel art + animation for this game was awesome! i really like the idea of the game, i tried really hard to beat it but never got quite there, oh well!
excellent submission, well done :)

Thanks for playing it!

I tried a few times but couldn't get a win. The last time all of their times were the same so I wasn't sure what I was supposed to do? Design wise it's well done. very cohesive and punchy.

Developer

Thanks for your time! The strategy to win is to drain all of the least productive worker's sanity as fast as you can and keep the other 2 alive:)

Good job for your submission, I did not manage to beat the game although multiple tries. I figured out the best strategy would be to drain the slowest worker the fastest possible and to fill the 2 others, but I only managed to get 384 each time, is it the intended strategy?

Developer

It  is the intended strategy. However, if you take to much time in draining the time from the first worker it is time that you lose forever! Thanks for playing it!

Unfortunately it didn't work for me the first text never went away so I couldn't play which is a shame as it looks really interesting :(

Developer

I had an issue with the buttons, tried to fix it in the time that I had remaining but it still has problems, sometimes you have to click multiple times a button for it to interact. Thanks for your time !

the art work in amazing, and the juice when they die is very good, i liked that a lot.

the game itself is very hard, and i was having trouble getting to the quota, so maybe making the game easier would add to it.

also, i was having a bit of trouble clicking the buttons for some reason? i had to click a lot until a click registered. and also if you open the pause menu while the story text is showing, the pause menu in behind the text.

very cool game tho, good job!

Thanks so much for your time ! I am aware of the buttons issue but unfortunately i did not have time to find a good solution.

The gameplay is a MASSACRE!

I did…what I had too. Left click, Left click, Left click… and then Right click. I regret…NOTHING!!

Thanks for playing it!

It's not very obvious at first that they all produce different amounts, but once you have the numbers it's a brief bit of maths to figure out how to win.

I was confused about all the bits about how cleaning the blood would cost time, since it made me think that the actual cleaning would somehow be a gameplay thing.

Thanks for the feedback!

Really simple and effective concept ! I thought about work when the theme dropped, but I did not know how to implement it. Well done :)

Thanks you so much :)

Speaking as a defective asset, I loved this. The ticking clock, the "Big Brother" eye banner, the dour color palette.. just spot-on design choices. And honestly, the first explosion caught me by surprise :O Great work.

Thank you so much for trying it out!
