I loved this game! I got so excited when I saw the bulldozers raise my feather count by like 5000 in one go. You nailed the dopamine hits for sure. I think my favorite part of the whole game was the feathers flying around. They were animated well and it was a great way of showing how many feathers the player was removing.
The narrative was also really sweet. Good work!
Thanks! I'm glad you enjoyed my game.
Seeing all your birds destroy that wall was pretty exhilarating the bigger the flock became !
Really dig the art style !
It was very satisfying to watch this one snowball, and while I thought the music was definitely a tad abrasive the sound design was overall really good and chaotic and fitting. Loved discovering all the new types of birds, and especially liked how the ones that mattered more had more powerful sound effects, you can really hear when a bulldozer does something amidst a million archers. Very well put together game with a lot of nice effects to it! Also haven't seen down as in feathers used in the theme before, which is super refreshing.
Thanks!
Phew! Managed to get <500 seconds on my second try!
This game is so cute and tells a bit of a sad and heartwarming story through the lens of an idle clicker game. The animations of the birds doing their thing is sooo satisfying to watch. I kinda wish this had a bit of an endless mode just so you can see how insane things get before your browser crashes XD.
The music and sounds are perfect, with the marching beat and all the little chip tune sounds that, now that I've seen this game, have always kinda sounded like birds chirping, are absolutely perfect!
Thank you for making this!
Thank you for playing!
Nice little clicker game! Always found this type game relaxing and addicting! Great job!
Good Game I love incremental Games! Great Jobs Guy!!
Thanks!
This is peak. It reminds me of the gnorp analogue but backwards. I love all the juice with the projectiles and sound effects, it's so satisfying to sit and watch your army of guys at work. Great submission :)
One of the best entries I've played so far! Elegant art style and overall design! Actually having a million pixel block that actually gets chipped away was great. I had it running while I was working and clicking it every so often. My score 1965!
Enjoyed it! Was able to finish in less than 10 minutes. I wish I was able to see the pile get smaller slower because as soon as I got the wizards the game ended so fast. Really fun and love the art for the game!
This is brilliant!! Honestly, I wish I could download this and keep it on my desktop as one of those cozy little games you click on every now and then. I absolutely love the idea of using the number itself as the countdown—it's such a clever mechanic! Seriously, this is SO cool!!!!
Wow! Thank you! :)
I loved the artwork and audio! Overall, a neat "retro-style" clicker game.
Great job!
Thanks!
Nice incremental game, this one with cure birds! Balance is nice in a way that you don't have to just wait for a long period of time.
Thank you for trying it out.
Very nicely done cookie clicker, short, sweet, with a cool narrative on top of it.
When I first saw that it takes 8-15 minutes and I realised how slow things are incrementing I was suspicious. But then it ramped up pretty quickly. I especially liked the idea that upgrades weren't independent but rather based on each other, that was clever.
Thanks for trying it out monsieur!
I love the literal interpretation of the theme but in a new way! The art style is cool and the music is fun! Nice job
Thanks!
Great, a perfect little incremental game. The red and black gives me old shool Vitrual Vibes. I love the way you brought in the theme. Nailed it.
Thank you!
This is a beautiful commentary on capitalism and labor, while utilizing metaphors of depression
the game is pretty cool aswell ig
Well done for achieving this! Huge fan of Gnorp here and I got the same kind of feeling. Tbf I wasn't sure what I was doing strategy wise but for a short game for a jam, it's all good.
Thanks!
Holy moly this game is my kind of jam. I love incremental/clicker games. This one is really good. I appreciate the length for the game jam. The sfx are on point and the background soundtrack is really good. I feel like I see inspiration from Gnorp in here, is that right? Were there any other games you took inspiration from? I’d love to check them out.
Yes. I was also inspired by Slamwall by Barribob. :)
nice execution of the genre ! did the tower finaly go down ?? lol
Nice artstyle ! it was fun
thanks :)
Thanks for playing! Also, yes the tower does go down eventually. :)
I'm a sucker for incremental, so I definitely wanted to check this one out. I think my main feedback was that when I purchased a new type of helper, I expected it to show up right away, so I was a bit confused that I didn't get a steamroller bird, for example, after buying it. I think in my opinion, I'd have made that initial click to unlock a character also give one, and increase the price for it.
Disclaimer: I did play this, yesterday, so if that's already changed my apologies but I'll also give it a quick run over again after the deadline :)
True. I thought about doing that, but at the time I was working on the mini-bird (the first purchase) and I wanted to teach that buying +1 gives more of that bird time. In hindsight though, unlocking any of the other bird types should have also given a free bird.
So you're right. Thanks for leaving a review!
That's fair! Game-Jam brain leads to interesting decisions sometimes! Also, wanted to just drop a comment that I love the pixel art! I didn't think I'd make it to the end of the pile of a million at first but was surprised with how fast it just zoooomed once you got some good upgrades!
