I enjoyed this a lot, it's truly the spiritual successor to crime and punishment. Good submission!

Great game ! Love the very quick skip feature so you can explore the choices :)

I don't play visual novels normally, but I really enjoyed this one! It was well done and felt like a complete experience. I was relieved that I got to choose the fate of Jeremiah at the end. :)

While at first it was a bit difficult for me to step into the mind of a kidnapper, I found this to be a pretty wholesome and touching story about overcoming jealousy and redemption (at least on the path that I took) with some sincere characters and great visuals. Good game!

Now this is good! Visual novels are a rare treat. I especially like which character's headspace we occupy, at the start I assumed it would play out like an escape room game, but going from the captor's perspective is a lot more interesting, especially given all the contradictions they present.

Like, I don't really know what Lucio's plan on getting away with this was supposed to be. For a supposedly smart guy, stealing the neighbor's axe to commit the crime seems like a pretty major mistake, and he's bound to get caught immediately. It's also interesting that he wants to meticulously time the murder, but completely improvises the weapon, like he's overthinking some parts and underthinking other parts.

I also wasn't quite sure what the countdown Lucio imposed on himself is supposed to represent, especially since it gets in the way of his own plans. If he follows it to a T, then it guarantees that he's late to the ball, which is interesting. Was he subconsciously trying to sabotage himself? These little mistakes actually strengthen the plot and the character just by blurring the lines on how willing they are to go through with the murder.

I'd like to see some change in the ending if you pick all blue, then switch to red at the last moment, or vice versa, but what's present here for a jam game is an interesting read. Really great job!

Thanksss for playinggg. Yess Lucio is really smart but his own madness blinds him! he is based on Raskolnicov from Crime and Punishment who also makes mistakes but is a really smart guy too. The 48 hours countdown is just an excuse for him to prepare to kill Jeremiah (Lucio deep down still love him and see him as a very close friend) :)

Thank you so much for all the comments; we really appreciate them. I know visual novels aren't mainstream, but it makes me incredibly happy to see that you guys take the time to read and analyze it. We are truly grateful to everyone :)

A visual novel for a game jam is a big risk, as many people won't take the time to play it wanting to play as much as possible. That being said, this is a very well done and well polished VN.

One first little statement of feedback would be that sometimes it feels a little jarring to have the actions like (shakes his head) in the middle of that character's text box. My first impression feeling is that it would feel better as part of the Narrator's textbox as a single sentence (Lucio shakes his head before speaking...)

I also really like the way you used different text colors to differentiate between speaking text and inner thought text, as well as having sort of insignificant or by-the-way characters being the same text color as the narrator.

Lucio's character is very unsettling, just because people who think along how he does (especially early on) actually exist. Not necessarily to the point of kidnapping their friends, but .. the other things he says, for sure. Early on, though, something also feels off about Jeremiah, so I was very interested to continue the story. I'd love a third ending someday!

The story was very entertaining :)

As someone who only picked blue Jeremiah is the GOAT

Great game, although I'm not a big fun of this genre, I still liked it a lot, the story was interesting and it was quite unique playing as the guy with mental issues, it was quite scary actually. And most of all I liked the artwork, the characters and environments are very beautiful, I wish I could draw that good... Awesome game, good job!

Very nice character design and environment!

I really liked this one. It really reminds me of ddlc, one of my favourite games! Also, I really liked the piano music in the backround. I actually made some piano peices that I played and used in my game!
