How does your game fit the theme?
Nearly every object in the game has a countdown: platforms vanish when their timer hits zero, bombs explode, drones drop missiles, bosses change modes, and a level timer keeps you moving..

Very cute, would love to see it expanded on.

Adorable and well-polished! The music was just the right amount of goofy

Very simple and polished :3

loved the retro artstyle

though i think the attack debounce or smth mightve needed a bit of a change, i think i clicked my way through this a bit too fast

also would be interesting seeing more puzzle-ish mechanics or longer levels from this if you expanded upon it in the future, at the moment I feel that you can mostly just kinda brute force your way through it by rushing to the end

This is such a beautiful and unique project.  The art style really shines and it remains consistent.  I jumped over all the blocks on the tutorial level so didn't get the mechanic at first but got the hang quickly and had a great time and beat it.  good game well done

Impressive project! I really like the minimalist art style — it looks very clean and polished. The gameplay is fantastic, and the tutorial at the beginning is excellent; everything was clear and easy to understand. I was also happy to see a boss at the end! The sound effects and music were a real treat as well.

Wow, you really nailed it. The cohesive retro art style was nice but I like how it played more like a modern game than a classic pixel art game. The countdown blocks were a nice tie in to the theme and the boss fight was super cool - loved the UI!

Great Job!

Super fun! The bossfight was my favorite part, the countdown switching his attack type was a neat idea, the countdown theme was very clear everywhere, nicely done :)

I really liked the art. I can see this on Steam if you add in more levels, audio, and polish the game feel a bit.

This is fantastic

I liked that a lot! I'd love to see it expanded

my guy has so much swag is is constantly flipping mid air just to show off. and maybe to help dodge the penis shaped missiles the drones drop. great job!

I only have 2 complaints: 1) the camera smoothing is too high, and 2) I wish there was more game to play

Oh, having even the boss phases change on a timer is clever. Also that tiny jump animation is great :D

very cool

I like how you at the end mentioned that you only have so much time to work at this haha, really liked the art! Remind me a lot of super mario but with guns...

Brilliant little game, interesting take on the theme!

Really nice art style, and pretty fun! The boss was a bit too easy tho

The game looks and sounds amazing, really impressive!

heck yeah that was fun, great job. loved the boss fight

Lovely pixel graphics, simple but well-animated and oozing with personality. Smooth controls. Very catchy music.

The boss battle was pretty fun: changing forms based on a timer (rather than on the amount of damage received, as is more common) makes for an interesting variation, and incentivizes shooting as fast as possible.
