I liked the theme a lot, but it was a bit difficult to juggle WASD + shift to dodge.

Really nice looking game! However I feel that hp mechanic is a bit too punishing but it matches the theme

I really like the steam punk ancient Greek automaton vibe!

Really nice Art! :)

NIce art. Love the animation of the Phleg's walking animation is so smooth. Nice idea, tying everything to the player's health which is constantly counting down, fits the theme very well. Good entry.

The "You died" screen is very slow and I saw it very often, but that's probably just me :P

Very cool concept and visual style!

The art and music are so good! gameplay is very fun! I did ran into a bug that prevented me from continuing unfortunately (player stuck mid air only able to move forward and backwards) but it was very fun as it lasted!!

Developer

Could you describe what you did that caused the bug?

Either way thanks for playing!

Sure! I fighting a monster and kept going around and around a platform, was stuck a bit above it hehe

Developer

Thank you we will look into it

Very good art and concept! Enjoyed it quite a lot, even I died too many times in the second level haha

Nice art style and interesting take on the theme (same as mine :P). It does lack some polish though as many actions lack good responsiveness from the game, like dying or attacking an enemy. Basically, it’d have felt way nicer if things were juicier (ahem, this is a technical term I promise). I did like the setting and the player character design though. Well done getting the game done in time anyhow!

The art is super unique and polished. And the game is overall really solid. The lamp is really creative!

Submitted(+2)

I think the character and all the art are really fleshed out; you can tell it took a lot of time/effort. I've always found it really hard to get a consistent and nice looking art style with a large team in a jam game, but y'all pulled it off!

As game-play goes, I saw that you mentioned a UI bug, but I didn't notice it when I played (both full screen on and off), so I don't think you guys need to sweat it :) I do agree with an earlier comment that the camera feels like it could be zoomed out a tad though.

Tell whoever made the cover image that it's absolutely lovely by the way.

Developer(+1)

Yeah we managed to handle the art style stuff because one artist did most of the stuff including the cover(yes I know he is the GOAT).

Huh so the bug isnt as noticeable as we thought. The UI elements would just look bigger compared to the rest of the screen if you didnt play fullscreen.

Thanks for the feedback!

Short little platformer with solid mechanics and a cool art direction. I found the camera a bit annoying, as it would trail behind the player. Having this with the instant death pits made it a bit frustrating as multiple times I would just fall into a pit before seeing it.

Solid base game with a lot of room for expansion :D

The art is really pretty and the music sounds very good as well! A little short but I enjoyed the time I spent playing it. Good job!

Developer

Thanks so much for the compliment on the music! The team did a great job and feel free to reach out if you ever need music done for a project <3

The five of you did a great job together!

Great game! Loved your art and especially palette choices. Very sad when I multidashed to the top right ledge and didn't find a secret level. great atmosphere, keep it up!

Submitted(+1)

Really liked the idea behind this and its ties to the theme! The art was fantastic as well. I hope your team has the opportunity to flesh out the game world after the jam. I'd love to see more!

i loved the art and the concept! game could use a bit more polish though, however since everyone only had 4 days it's understandable. didn't manage to find the octopus from magma bound though 😅
