Really original concept ! But I feel like it could have benefited from using real phrases instead of Lorem Ipsum, as searching the next word was not very engaging
Congrats nonethell :)
Great idea. I loved how simple but how engaging it is!
this was weirdly addicting i had a blast!!! wingdings is like the devil to me though but a good challenge!!! very unique premise and well executed
Very unique take on the theme, I've not seen anything else quite like it this jam. I like it! Could always use some more polish but I found the gameplay to be quite engaging. I found it to be mostly intuitive. Overall, good job! :)
Like the idea! Didn't realize I could change font until the very end when I got stuck on Wingdings lol. Neat game! I had fun!
Interesting concept! I think there could be some UI improvements, better spacing, etc to make it a bit easier on the eyes, but of course it makes sense you focused on the gameplay during the jam ;)
Nice work! :)
This is a very interesting game and a solid premise! The font size was very difficult for me - I think it may have been better to be "small", "medium", and "large". I would also like more space in the drop-down. I really like the premise a lot!
Interesting suggestion. I'll definitely consider if alternative values/descriptions would work better for the various categories when I get back to this. Thank you for playing.
Very interesting idea! I think the countdown needed to be ingrained a bit more, it didn't feel central to the overall gameplay. I also think some UX improvements could've really helped, and some more juice. Overall, great work!
Thank you for playing and the feedback. Overall, I agree and wish I could have made the timer more of a focus. A lot of re-designing things to get the play itself good sadly prevented that in this form.
I was a little bit confused of what's going on on the screen so I think the UX could have some rework. I also feel like the font size could have been adjusted using sliders instead of a drop down menu. Though the concept is pretty neat!
Definitely a lot of UI work would be needed in a full game. Getting a lot of good feedback from the comments here about what seems to work and what doesn't. So thank you for playing and the suggestion.
A bit confusing but definitely an interesting take, congrats!
Interesting concept, but I didn't feel motivated to keep going. The matching mechanic is simple but not intriguing on its own. It reminds me of Papers, Please, where the mechanic is simple but the story and world building is what keeps people playing.
Very much agree. I would have liked to have something more Paper Please story going on as the driver to do better/faster so see more of the story. So honestly happy to hear that kind of analogy.
It's a hard puzzle game! I really thought it was creative, a lot of fun was had :)
I managed to get a score of 11, but the Wingdings is absolutely horrible, mainly since you have no clue where the word is, and also no idea what the word needed would be.
Thank you for playing. And yes, wingdings is extra hard and probably to much so. I wish I had at least put in a tutorial for the fact you could change the text on the left to the different fonts, or just had it change automatically for wingdings, since that is the only way you can reasonably solve it.
Nice concept. It's very polished. Congrat!
Started out fun, but I felt a little friction when scrolling through missing words, and not exactly in a good way. I'd preferred to actually type the word instead of scrolling down and down and down...
The size matching is a bit poor, though, there wasn't any reliable reference to measure them, other than just randomly choosing them.
On web fullscreen, sometimes the game is too big for the screen, and I couldn't zoom in and out...
The game can evolve into a better one, with some UI work. GG
Thank you very much for the detailed comment. It gives me a lot to consider if/when I decide to polish this up later on.
Interesting concept, nice job :)
i enjoyed this a lot! i loved how the instructions for how to play the game was part of the game itself and it was a lot of fun once it started going and the increase in difficulty with more and more options available to decide between had really good pacing too! could definitely imagine this as a longer game :>
Thank you so much for playing my entry and I really am happy to hear the tutorial I put in didn't stand out too much. I do hope I can spend some time and polish this up after the rating periods ends even if I don't add more to the game, which I would like to do as well.
