One of our team members played this a couple days back and I thought "Oh, fellow cowboy game! Let's go play that!" I'm glad I waited a bit, or I might've spent every playing session in the quick cue. Ridiculously fun.
I’m genuinely laughing out loud right now—wow. The art, the music, the gameplay, the little bunnies, and the chance to become a cactus—it’s in-cred-i-ble.
Thank you haha
This is an absolute masterpiece of a 2D pixel art game! The cowboy animations are incredibly fluid, the aesthetic is gorgeous, and the entire experience feels so beautifully well-polished. Funnily enough, I actually made a jam game with the exact same title: Cowboy Countdown! If you ever get a spare moment between rating entries, I would be absolutely honored if you rode on over to check out my version too. Fantastic work on this, it's a huge favorite of mine so far!
Good game
I palyed it with my friends hhh, great gameplay, but i cant match anyone when i play it myself.
Nice concept and art, really like it,Good job bro!
Enjoyed playing about in the tutorial but sadly didn't match with anyone :(
Really sweet concept, impressive jam entry! :)
Got absolutely cooked in the actual match but the tutorial was easy :) I really like the idea and gameplay!
Sorry about that haha
YEEEEHAAA
I wasn't able to find a match, but I can tell there's something here just from the tutorial! Would love to play when it's more active or you add bots.
Wasn't expecting a multiplayer game, but this a great take on the theme. Nice work~
(and I'm glad you can't hit the bunnies)
Really fun to play with a friend! (i beat his ass)
Awesome haha
Had a great time just playing with a random. Waited for like 20 seconds to find someone to play with. GG. I like the online approach. I didn’t quite dare to make my game online, so I went for an asynchronous approach instead and built a level editor with shareable level codes.
Thanks! Glad you tried it out and waited for a bit. I think a multiplayer game is a pretty bad idea unless you have some initial oomph to keep your game visible from the start. I'm basically sitting in queue all day but I have to refresh it because it times out xD
Great! My friend and I played at least 30 rounds (and got snaked lol). Shotgun seems the strongest option, but as a whole the game is very enjoyable! 10/10 would shoot again
Wow! Great art, music, and use of the theme. I especially love the little cowboy dance.
as a lot of people, nobody online :( but as a fellow cowboy game maker, i gotta respect. hats off pardner.
This is a great idea! Wish there was just a regular solo mode since I couldn't find a match. The SFX and visuals are very fun too!
Shoot! I was in another match, but thanks for trying!
This was super fun and creative! I could only play the tutorial as no one was matching my quickplay options, so an 'offline' mode would have been nice :)
the art was neat, and the different 'powerups' all played quite nicely! love the cactus hopping lol
good work!
I'm impressed by how fun this can be, a really great game concept that macthes the theme, and you should add more fonctions in the future!
Thank you! I've got some ideas...
A really good concept with a great execution. I really like how movement, shooting, everything is tied to the timer.
This is the best 1 v 1 game i've ever seen in a game jam. It changed my life. Without this game i would feel empty inside.
