How does your game fit the theme?
You are under constant pressure from a countdown. Numbers count down and decay in real-time as well as a timer counting down your shift, the pace picks up as your next shift goes on. If a number counts down to 0, that sector corrupts and starts a chain reaction that damages nearby data. Sort them before the countdown runs out!

Really loved the style and visuals; the shifts from 1-9 were not that hard, but when I got to 10 I just died immediately. Still, I had fun!
The CRT effect is sick
The CRT effect is sick
this is by far the coolest one ive seen so far
Lovely graphics, I personally love the good old CRT effect.
Although I did get a little dizzy playing the game, it was overall pretty fun, and pretty hard, or maybe it's just me; I don't really know hahaha
I love that you made a severance game. The rules make sense, but I think the shift having a limited time detracts from the experience. In the show Macrodata Refinement is shown to be sort of monotonous and slow. This game makes you frantically look for the numbers. I think if you were to take some inspiration from the swap-three genre so players can make clump like-numbers together before refining it could be a much more accurate experience.
That said, I really do like the concept. I just think it could be refined a bit (haha get it?).
Oh one more thing: the warning/shaking shader is far too intense. An intensity slider in a settings menu would definitely benefit this game.
Thanks for the feedback 😁
As soon as I heard the music playing I was like "Wait... I now this song" and when I saw the numbers in the screen I got it. Very fun! The art was very well done
This game is incredible; it has a lot of polish, simple to learn gameplay with enough depth to keep the player engaged, and has fantastic visuals to top it off. I do agree with the person that said that the 5 bin is the most challenging, but on the whole the gameplay is pretty solid.
This was fun or something. My innie was there so I have no idea.
Great implementation of the refinement tho :D Visually and mechanically too.
I love this style of game, and it's a good use of countdown. I really wish there was more to it than mostly just clicking anywhere and hoping for the best. Overall great game
hiiiiii mahhhhrk :)
Really fun little take on Macrodata Refinement! Gonna play a few more time. I love the visuals too, really feels like I'm staring at a creepy old CRT.
Fun and well polished game! The visuals are really nice. My only complaint is that the middle "bin" only takes 5s, so it's always the last one to fill up.
I really like how you adapted the refinement system from Severance into an actual game that feels like it came right out of the show! This would be the perfect prank to play on friends who are fans of the show by getting the rest of the group to just play this silently together and pretend it's the real thing, haha!
Really cool idea, I haven’t seen anything quite like it before! The visual effects are great, and the game feels really nice to play. I especially love the VHS vibe; we used a similar effect in our game too!
Thanks! I'll need to check out yours to see these effects in action! : )
It’s got a puzzle element to it so I’m fully on board! I didn’t fully understand what controls which bucket you are supposed to put the numbers in, but I liked the idea of scanning the area for number field to find patterns of common numbers. Plus if you let some numbers decay it feels like you can get a bigger cluster by letting it “ripen”
Very fun and clever game!
Well first of all, as a big fan of Severance, I'm sold. This is *really* nicely presented. Incredible amount of polish and character considering the timeframe. Just really, really well done. My favorite so far by a mile!
This was one of the better games I played! I didn't really know why the numbers were corrupting because I didn't read the instructions, but once I did I really loved this! Would love to get a .zip or .exe version to play this more offline!
Definitely a learning curve with this one, or maybe just getting over my light dyslexia, but even with all that the art direction and execution are top notch!
Its a really well polished game !
I must say, the gameplay by its self its not super fun but the execution its outstanding !
